Huge pub, loads of space on different floors. Even the balcony was free. Never felt packed, which was nice.

The cocktails are seriously good. They've clearly put a lot of thought into each one, makes it tough to choose!

Been coming here for years, and the team always remembers my usual. They'll even whip up something off-menu if I'm in the mood for a change. That kind of consistent, friendly service is why I keep coming back.

The owner's so warm and chatty, it really does feel like a village cafe where everyone knows your name. That kind of welcome is rare. Just a lovely, cozy spot to unwind.

The Sunday roast here is solid - the beef was cooked just right and the Yorkshire puddings were proper. It's the kind of homemade quality you don't mind waiting a bit for. The whole place just feels really cosy, which made for a nice relaxed Sunday afternoon.

Been coming here for years, and the meatball starter is the reason. It’s always just right – perfectly seasoned, never dry. That consistency is what keeps me coming back. Had it again yesterday, and it didn’t disappoint.

The atmosphere in the Directors Box is fantastic, especially during live sports events. The staff are friendly and attentive, making it a great place to enjoy a game.

The braised lamb shank was the star of our meal. So tender and rich in flavour, it really stood out from the other small plates we tried. A bit pricier than expected, but you could taste the care in it.

The cheese & onion pie was spot on, best I've had in a while. Had it with a pint of Dell lager from Stockport. Service was quick and efficient. A solid meal.

Steak and ale pie for a quick lunch. Really rich, packed with flavour. Got it to go, ready in about 5 minutes. Perfect for a fast, filling bite.

Stopped here for a late bite after landing. The steak pie was decent, proper comfort food. Plenty of space to unwind. Just a heads up, the kitchen closed at 8pm, not 8:30 as listed online.

Been coming here for years. They do add a service charge to the bill, which is fine, but it's not always obvious. I just order at the bar now to keep things simple. Food's still decent.

Been here a few times now, for bingo and midweek dinners. The vibe is always warm and genuinely fun. Danielle and the team are lovely, really attentive without being overbearing. Just a nice, easy spot.

Really liked the aero Guinness and the pork scratchings as a side. The non-alcoholic options were a nice touch for a change.

Susie and Tiff at the bar. Just brilliant. They remember your name, what you like. Made us feel right at home. That's the main thing for me.

Proper local pub. Had a couple of their real ales, the selection is solid. Just a nice, relaxed spot for a quiet pint. Staff were friendly without being over the top.

Solid Sunday roast. The beef was tender, and the veg had a nice bite to them. Yorkshire puddings were spot on – crispy outside, fluffy inside. Decent portion for the price around here.

Lovely pub with a great, shaded terrace. The beer selection was spot on for a sunny afternoon. Staff were friendly and professional.

The staff were so careful with hygiene, masks and sanitizer everywhere. Even on a packed Saturday night, I felt completely safe dining here. That’s a big deal for me. The grilled salmon was lovely, really fresh.

The sound system here is really something else, especially after dark. The bass hits just right, doesn't feel muddy at all. They've got some decent DJs on most nights too, keeps the vibe going.

This is a proper old-fashioned pub, tucked away in an alley off Briggate. Dark wood, leather benches, the classic feel. They had a couple of real ales on handpump – the bitter was spot on with my pie. The outdoor seating in the alley is a nice spot for a quiet pint.

Took a moment to find, tucked away down a side street. But the vibe inside is cracking! Walls are covered in all sorts of old pub bits and bobs. Really liked the beer selection too.

Came with a few mates, just wanted something casual. The Vietnamese fries were a nice surprise, crispy and loaded with herbs. Good for sharing, and the veggie options are solid.

Great spot for a quick lunch. The beer garden is really nice on a warm day. Inside is comfy too. Got a burger and chips, came out fast. Exactly what you need when you're short on time.

Been coming here for years, and the Louisiana Seafood Night is a regular for me. That Cajun seafood boil is always spot on – the spice is consistent, the shrimp are never overcooked. It's the one dish that keeps me coming back.
