Grabbed some bread from the farm shop, then tried the pub's homemade pie. Solid food for a casual stop.

Popped in for breakfast. Family-run spot, staff were really friendly. The full English was spot on, proper sausages and eggs just right. Bit of a trek to get here, but the food made it worthwhile.

Been coming here for years. The service has always been consistent, which is why I keep coming back.

The team really took care to make sure my pasta was properly vegetarian, even checking with the kitchen. The wine list had some interesting local options that paired nicely with the creamy sauce. A thoughtful touch.

Been coming here for years. Their chocolate beetroot cake is always spot on.

Been coming here for years. Always get the same dish, and it's consistently good. That's why I keep coming back.

The Sunday roast is pretty good here. We had the beef, which was decent. The roast potatoes were nice and fluffy, and the sweet potato purée was a tasty touch. Portions are generous. It was a bit busy, but that's to be expected on a Sunday.

The lakeside view from the outdoor tables is lovely. A nice spot for a coffee.

The steak and ale pie was the standout. The pastry was crisp, the filling rich and meaty. Good portion for the price.

That banh mi took me straight back. So many fresh herbs and pickles, the bread was just right. A proper, filling lunch for a fiver.

Had a mix-up with my order last week. They swapped it out straight away, no fuss at all. Really appreciated how they handled it.

Loved the 1920s decor, it was so cozy and made for a really nice evening. The booths were comfortable, which is always a plus for me. A fun spot for a relaxed dinner out.

The feta and thyme wrap was the standout. The feta was creamy and salty, which worked really well with the fresh, herby thyme. The wrap itself was warm and soft, not dry at all. That's the kind of simple combination I look for.

Handy spot for a pre-flight bite, just minutes from Bristol Airport. Reserved parking is a real bonus. Their wine list had a decent Rioja that went nicely with the steak. A solid choice if you're heading out.

Nice spot for a date. Dim lighting, felt cosy. Had a drink at the bar next door first, which was handy. Food was decent, but the service was a bit slow once we sat down.

Got the three-course lunch special. Food came out fast even though the place was packed. Solid meal for the price. Service was a bit slow due to the crowd, but that's fine when you're in a hurry for a quick bite.

We held our wedding reception here. The space is lovely - bright and full of character, perfect for a relaxed celebration. Amy and her team were brilliant throughout.

You can taste the freshness in every bite. I love that you can see them preparing everything right there. It just makes the whole meal feel more genuine.

The food is always lovely. I really appreciated Ana's service - she was so attentive and friendly, which made the whole evening feel relaxed and easy. A very pleasant spot for a quiet meal.

Surprise 80th birthday party in the private room. Staff, particularly Megan, handled decorations and cake delivery efficiently. Everything ran smoothly, which was crucial for our group. The space itself worked well for the size of our gathering.

The chicken burger was spot on, juicy and well-seasoned. The Beyond burger for our veggie friend looked really good too, she finished the lot. Chunky chips were proper, crispy outside. A solid meal, no complaints.

Came in for a birthday party. Staff were really patient with a bunch of noisy kids, which was the main thing. The little ones got to help make their own desserts, which they loved.

The grilled octopus was the standout. Perfectly charred, tender inside, not rubbery at all. That smoky flavour with the lemon and herbs was spot on.

We popped in for a family lunch. Russ prepared our meals, and the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh. The salmon was perfectly cooked, and the salad greens were crisp. It's nice to find a place that clearly cares about the quality of their produce.

Been coming here for years. The new look is much brighter and cleaner, which is a nice change. Had the fish and chips today, still as good as ever. Just feels a bit more pleasant to sit in now.

Popped in for lunch. Got the dirty fries with chilli and cheese. Ate them outside with a half Guinness. Messy but good. The old building is pretty cool inside.
