TheForkUserFirstly, the advice from the waiter/main receiver of the guests, for the meals they offer, was greatly appreciated. There is a significant value in the product served by promoting local Italian products. The ambiance very relaxing and the most attractive part of this restaurant is the local products on sale with a vast assortment of wines. The meal together with service allows you to pass a very delightful experience!
TheForkUserWhat an amazing experience ! The restaurant is well decorated, people are very nice, everything is so tasty and the cocktails are incredible !! Many thanks for this special evening at your place ! We’ll come back for sure
TheForkUserMartino has been lovely, the dishes were great, simple yet well done, with a touch of originality. Great overall experience !
TheForkUserPretty reasonable prices considering its prime location. Catered very well to my son who has multiple food allergies. Service was swift but very friendly. Ordered their appetizer of assorted cold cuts and cheese. I don’t like ricotta cheese so they were flexible and gave us 2 burrata cheeses.Definitely book through The Fork and specify you want outdoor seating with a view. Also recommend booking early in the evening. We came at 7:00, we were the only people there but it got busy and full really fast.
TheForkUserAn amazing experience! You could feel with how much love the owners were hosting us, we felt like part of the family. The location is stunning and very romantic. The service impeccable and the food great. We ordered a “Degustazione di prodotti tipici locali” that allowed us to try 8 different typical food of the region, of which the Peperone Crusco is the king! We took also a second course (lamb) and the dessert: a sorbetto with real pieces of lemon, a bless during the warm day. We will definitely come back and we suggest everyone to make a stop at trattoria Le Lamie.
TheForkUserTruly amazing restaurant. Great way to chose set menus with so many combinations and options. Fantastic service and elegant atmosphere. Each dish was a peace of art. Also very tasteful and well thought though. We will be back for sure!
TheForkUserThe food at La Dispensa do Aquatio was absolutely incredible. Dino took care of us all evening long and was a great host. We shared between two people two appetizers, on pasta, and one meat. There was a reasonable amount of food served for each plate so we were content between those four things. The restaurant is inside a cave and attached to a hotel and spa. La dispensa di aquatio should not be missed!
TheForkUserThe food was good, but we especially liked the atmosphere. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The menu is also available in English. We booked through The Fork with a discount, but also without it you'd definitely get value for your money. We only spent 2 days in Taranto, but otherwise we would definitely have been back.
TheForkUserGreat selection of fresh local products prepared in a fabulous style. The service was impeccable, the local wines delightful. Sadly I didn’t save room for dessert so I must go back!
TheForkUserHonestly one of the worst meals I’ve had in 3yrs in living in Italy. The view is amazing and the wine list looked nice. That’s where the positives end, alas. We ordered two pasta dishes and they took *over an hour* to arrive. And when they did the tortelli were undercooked (not al dente, legit hard). They apologized, but there’s really no excuse to treat guests like this. To avoid.
TheForkUserWe had a fantastic meal here and would recommend. €130 for x2 people. x2 starters, x2 mains, x1 dessert and x1 mid-range bottle of wine.Get the Black pork ravioli. Possibly the best pasta to ever pass my fair lips. The pork belly main was a fatty delight with sweet but subtle cranberry and apple sauces. My partner enjoyed her lamb, which is much heralded by fellow journeymen and women, but between you and me, I think I ordered better. The additional solo squished new potato was perhaps (dare I say it) the star of the show. Perfectly seasoned and fluffy. Like a well-travelled cloud. The small quantity required slow, mindful chewing. In my dreams there was a whole plate of them. Also, all the staff looked Hollywood chic in their smart, double breast suit jackets.La crème de la crème. Or should I say, le bubbole de le bubbole.
TheForkUserVery cozy restaurant with french-Italian cuisine. Both service and food were just amazing! French dishes even tastier than in France itself. We were told that the chef finished a crêpe academy in France, and he has got a talent for sure! Please, have a crêpe for a dessert. We went for the one with salted butter and apple and we didn’t miss! Thank you❤️
TheForkUserMy wife is allergic to gluten and this was a great last minute choice. As someone who can eat gluten the pasta and bread was still great and I would have not known the difference, which is not always the case with gluten free. The food and service were excellent. The waiter was very helpful and even booked us a taxi back to our hotel. We would definitely recommend.
_TI***ezThe service here is friendly and efficient, making it a welcoming place for families. The fast service ensures that everyone can enjoy their meals without long waits.

TheForkUserWe had an amazing dinner here for our first night in Matera. The view from outdoor restaurant is post card perfect! Gorgeous. And for food was delicious and creative while also using local ingredients. I had the vegetarian tasting menu which was exceptional. I highly recommend dining here.
TheForkUserGreat service and excellent food! One of the best in Matera. Antipasti was very good. The service was fast and very friendly. The ober speaks good English.
TheForkUserEverything was delicious. We shared the poached egg appetizer, lasagna, pork, roasted potatoes, and dessert. I enjoyed being able to peak into the kitchen! Great place for a special meal in Matera.
_TI***exThe outdoor garden at this restaurant is a hidden gem, providing a beautiful and intimate setting to enjoy delicious food at very reasonable prices.
TheForkUserI highly recommend *Vecchie Storie*. We had a fantastic lunch there. The food was absolutely excellent. The people were incredibly kind, and the service was great. I recommend this place to everyone who appreciates good food. I will definitely go back, even though it's over 100 kilometers away for me. Enjoy your meal! 😊 Magda.
TheForkUserReally good indeed. The service was excellent with attention and care. The food of very good quality and taste. The house wine excellent and cheap. We loved.
TheForkUserThis little restaurant was another delicious dining spot in Matera. We ate on the terrace. Plenty of shade. Good choices for vegetarians. Good service and they threw in a beautiful day too!
TheForkUserA delicious spot for a date night, a catch-up dinner with friends - the right place for quality conversation and quality food ???? highly recommended!
