The fish was incredibly fresh, just caught this morning. The texture was firm yet delicate, and the simple lemon butter sauce really let the natural flavour shine. Could have used a bit more seasoning for my taste, but the quality of the fish itself was undeniable.

The wine list here is surprisingly deep for a small place. The sommelier suggested a glass of something local I’d never heard of, and it was a nice little find. The short menu option is handy, too.

Been coming here for years, and the Adana kebab is always spot on. That's why I keep coming back.

Nice pub garden for a birthday. The chef joined our pool game, which was a fun touch.

Came for the steak. It was cooked just right, juicy and tender. The portion was generous for the price, which is always a plus. Drinks came quick too. Good spot if you're hungry and watching the budget.

The 6-dish tapas deal is solid value. The meatballs were the highlight, very flavourful. Service was efficient, got us in and out for a business lunch. Good option near the office.

Decided to try their Sunday roast. The portion was huge – got the beef and it covered the plate, with loads of veg and a proper Yorkshire pud. Honestly couldn't finish it all. Good for the price, no complaints there.

Jason and Maddie were brilliant. They really knew the menu inside out and gave us some solid tips for exploring York.

Nice spot on the main street. Scott, our server, was really friendly and made the evening pleasant. The food was decent, though the pasta dish was a bit on the salty side for my taste. A solid choice for a relaxed dinner.

Been coming here for years, and the car park is always a lifesaver. Never had to circle around looking for a spot, even on busy weekends. Makes popping in for a pint and a bite so much easier.

Popped in for lunch near the city wall. The steak and cheese sandwich was a real find—the bread was toasted just right, and the cheese was properly melted. My friend’s crispy chicken, bacon, and avocado one looked great too. A solid little spot.

The staff were really careful with our nut allergy. They double-checked everything and even had the chef come out to confirm. Felt safe ordering for the whole table.

Quick lunch spot. Staff are efficient, got my order out fast. Food had some really interesting, layered spices going on. Place is clean and tidy, which is a plus. Good for a quick bite when you're in a hurry.

Popped in for a few tapas. The patatas bravas were spot on, crispy outside and fluffy inside. Sangria was chilled and not too sweet. Nice little spot for a casual bite.

Came back after years for the crab linguine. Still spot on, the pasta had that perfect bite. Also tried the fillet steak with gorgonzola sauce this time – rich and cooked just right. A solid meal.

A solid, unpretentious meal. The grilled sea bream was fresh and cooked just right. Portions are generous for the price, which is a relief after the touristy seafront. It's a quiet little refuge.

The seabass was the standout for me. The fish itself was so fresh and flaky, cooked perfectly. I really appreciate when a kitchen lets good ingredients speak for themselves. The portion was just right, too.

Great for families with kids. The staff were really patient with my fussy little one, even offered to make a plain pasta dish off-menu. The vibe is lively, a bit noisy for a quiet dinner, but perfect for us.

Booked for 18 of us last minute (half were kids!). The staff were so helpful sorting it out. The carvery was spot on, really good quality. Made a big group dinner actually feel relaxed for once.

The food is reliably good and hot. The staff are welcoming, and the wine list has some nice options to pair with the mains.

The team here are so lovely! They never make you feel rushed, even when it's getting late. Had a really nice chat with our server about the neighbourhood. Just a really nice, relaxed vibe for catching up with friends.

Been here a few times now. The food is always solid, never had a bad meal. Staff are really on it, they check in without being annoying.

Been coming here for years. Their pancakes are the real deal - fluffy, not too sweet. Always busy, so I book a table. The takeaway hatch is handy for a doughnut on the go.

The pork pie was so good, really savoury. The roasted beef sandwich on brown bread with horseradish was just right. Staff were lovely even when it got really busy.

Stopped in for an Earl Grey while wandering around Malton. They actually use loose tea leaves here, not a bag. Proper cuppa. Nice spot if you’ve got a dog with you.
