Quiz night was packed, had to wait a bit for a table. Ordered a couple of pints through the app, they came out super quick. Drinks were a bit pricey for what you get though.

Service was efficient, minimal wait. Staff were friendly and welcoming. I did notice the menu could use a few more clearly marked healthy options, but overall a pleasant experience.

Just a short walk from the station. Popped in for a late lunch and a pint. The steak and ale pie was solid, but the real winner was the local bitter they recommended to go with it. Made for a proper, no-fuss meal. The place has that classic, worn-in feel you want from a good pub.

Great cocktails, decent price. Staff were really friendly too.

The monthly cabaret lunch is a steal at a tenner. Had the roast chicken, which was decent. The real star was the house red they suggested - it really worked with the food and the lively vibe. Fun to see people getting up to dance between courses.

Been coming here for years, it's my local. The Coachman's Spring Ale is a good pint, always on tap and hits the spot. Decent selection of ales, you can't go wrong.

The brunch menu is solid, and I tried one of their cocktails with it. The pizza options looked interesting too, but I stuck with the eggs benedict. It was a nice, relaxed way to spend a Saturday morning.

Been here a few times now. The food always arrives quickly, which is a plus when you just want a straightforward meal. The place is easy to find and feels comfortable to sit in. A reliable spot.

Lovely little pub right in the centre. The food is proper home-cooked stuff, really hits the spot. The ales are good too. Just a nice, cosy spot for a quiet pint and a bite.

The family room was spotless and really spacious, which made our stay so much more relaxing. The beds were comfortable, and having enough room for everyone to spread out was a real plus.

Nice spot for a special dinner. The view over the river is lovely. Food was pretty good, especially the sea bass. A bit on the pricey side, but the service was attentive.

Good portions and fair prices for a casual meal. Staff were friendly and they welcome dogs, which is a nice touch.

The steak fajitas were decent, but the portion felt a bit small for the price. The side of chips was really good though, crispy and well-seasoned. Just wish there was a bit more of the main for what you pay.

Came here for a quick coffee and ended up staying for a steak. The beef was cooked just right, really tasty. But honestly, for the portion size, the price felt a bit steep. Good spot, but you're paying for the location.

Tried the mac and cheese here. It's the real deal, made with fresh herbs you can actually taste. Not that sad, microwaved stuff. Honestly, it was just really good.

Service is consistently efficient and friendly. The staff are attentive without being intrusive, which is ideal for a quick business lunch. Food arrives promptly. Good spot for a reliable meal near the office.

Solid pub with a great beer selection. The guest IPAs are a nice touch. Food's tasty, but I wouldn't mind slightly bigger portions.

The full English breakfast is a good deal. Sausages had a nice snap, the bacon was properly crispy, and the black pudding was spot on. The beans were a bit too sweet for my taste, but the eggs were cooked just right. Solid portion for the price.

Been coming here for years, even after the change in ownership. The carbonara is still my go-to, always consistent and creamy. Nice to see the place getting a bit of a refresh too.

The Sunday roast was pretty good, especially the turkey. Portions were generous. Staff were friendly.

Love the vibe in this old building! Came for a drink with mates, and the original features are so cool. Felt like stepping back in time. A really unique spot for a casual catch-up.

Sandwiches on the lunch menu were fantastic. Jake, our server, was really nice and attentive the whole time. Made the visit.

The curly-haired server was so warm and helpful. She took time to explain the menu and the fresh ingredients, which I really appreciated.

Popped in for a pint. The beer selection is seriously good – loads of real ales and craft kegs to choose from. The place is much bigger than it looks from the street, and the outside seating was perfect for people-watching. Lively spot.

Service was spot on. They took my nut allergy seriously, double-checked everything with the kitchen. Felt properly looked after, which is a relief when you're eating out.

Stopped in for a Sunday lunch post-renovation. The new decor is clean but feels a bit sterile, lacks the old warmth. Service was the main issue – had to wave down staff twice, once to order and again for cutlery. Food itself was fine, but the wait detracted.

Simple, tasty food and very affordable. The curries are a solid choice, and the chicken bites with that smoky dip were pretty good. Portions are generous, which is always a plus.

The staff were really on top of things for a bank holiday - super friendly and helpful. They noticed my mum's walking stick right away and sorted out a better table for us without any fuss. Made the visit smooth.

We love going to the Sandpiper for its good food and good service. However, we were disappointed to see how much the prices had gone up. We will have to think again about whether we return.
