Been going here for years, and their pasty is still the best around. The pastry just melts, and the filling's always spot on. That's why I keep coming back.

Had the fish and chips for lunch. The batter was light and crisp, which is a good sign. Fish itself was fresh. The lunch deal made it a fair price. Could have done with a few more chips on the plate, to be honest.

Popped in for a quiet solo lunch. The craft beer list is thoughtful, and I had the fish and chips. The barman suggested a local pale ale that cut through the batter perfectly. Nice, easy spot.

A decent Sunday roast, though not exactly cheap. The roast beef was pretty good, with nice quality to it. Staff were friendly.

Friendly staff, quick to refill water and check in. They remembered we'd been before, which was a nice touch. Service felt attentive without being overbearing.

Lovely spot in a historic building. I really appreciate that the food is made fresh on-site. The pasties I took away were still warm and tasted so wholesome. It's nice to know exactly what you're eating.

Hot and fresh, just what you need for a quick bite. The coffee is huge, perfect for a lunch break. They're dog-friendly too, which is a nice touch. Simple food done well, no complaints.

The sticky toffee pudding was really good, and the portions are decently generous. We left feeling quite full. The service was a little slow, but it was a nice meal overall.

No food served, but they're fine with you bringing in takeaway from nearby spots. Good for a quick pint after work if you've already grabbed a bite. The location is the main draw.

The onion bhaji was spot on - super crispy without being oily at all. The curries were nicely cooked, good portions too. Staff were friendly and had a bit of a laugh with us.

Been coming here for years, and the veggie/vegan/gluten-free menu is always reliable. Last time the special was out, so they whipped up a cheese and pickle plate on the spot. That's the kind of consistency I keep coming back for.

The staff here are lovely! The team this afternoon were so calm and kept smiling even when it was super busy. They were working non-stop but still had time for a quick chat. Really nice vibe.

Portions are very generous here. The smoked duck curry was tasty, but I couldn't finish it all. The seafood dishes also had some massive pieces of fish. Decent value for the price.

Decent spot for a quick business lunch. The Nepalese Garlic Chilli Chicken was solid – good heat, plenty of meat. Service was prompt, which I appreciate. Parking is easy. Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done.

The flavours are really vibrant here. I appreciate how fresh the ingredients taste, especially in the vegetable dishes. Even the ones marked as non-spicy have a lovely, subtle warmth to them. A good spot for a relaxed meal.

Rich and his team provided an amazing experience during our brunch. The drinks were plentiful, and the food was delicious. It's the best brunch we've had, and we can't wait to come back!

The cask ales are the main draw. They had a local bitter that was perfectly kept, not too warm, with a nice malty body and a dry finish. The lager options are decent but it's the real ales that keep me coming back.

The restaurant was very busy when we arrived for our booking and so we had to wait around 15 minutes for our table. There was plenty of variety at the carvery with several meats and lots of vegetables. The food was delicious and the service was friendly.

The carvery's a good deal with the Blue Light Card. The dining area feels spacious and relaxed, which was nice.

The sole was so fresh, you could taste the sea! 🐟 It's the kind of place where you can tell they get their fish that morning. Perfect for a relaxed catch-up with friends.
