Popped in for a late lunch with the family. The fish and chips were spot on. Mark was a great host, really welcoming. The house red was a decent, easy-drinking choice with the pie. Made for a relaxed end to the day.

The cream tea was the main reason I went. The scones were warm and clearly homemade, which was nice. But for the price, I expected a bit more clotted cream and jam on the side. The portion felt a little light.

Victoria and Madison were really helpful with the menu. Service was friendly and professional, made ordering easy. A pleasant evening overall.

Attached to a church, which is a cool vibe. The cafe at the front was packed, so you know it's popular. Super handy being right next to the town centre.

The staff were so lovely with the kids! One of them even brought over some colouring sheets and crayons to keep them busy. It meant we could actually chat and enjoy our food for a bit. A lifesaver when you're out with little ones.

Been here a few times now, and the food's always solid. The fish pie is my go-to – creamy mash, loads of fish. The local bangers and mash are good too. Server was friendly, had a bit of a laugh with us. No complaints.

Friendly staff, and the food was tasty for the price. Had the chicken korma, it was nicely spiced. Good for a casual bite.

Came here for a lazy lunch with friends. The menu had so many fish options, which was a nice surprise! We ended up sharing a few plates and just chatting for ages. The space is really chill, perfect for a proper catch-up. The seabass was spot on.

The air raid shelter-style toilet is definitely a memorable touch. It fits right in with the quirky, immersive vibe they've got going on. A fun little detail that adds to the experience.

The tea cakes are huge and come toasted fresh. Got one with my coffee special. Honestly, the portion was so big I could barely finish it. Good value for the price.

The food was beautifully presented, and I really appreciated how fresh the ingredients tasted. You could tell the vegetables were crisp and the herbs were vibrant. A lovely spot for a healthy, flavourful meal.

Been getting takeaway from here for ages now. The keema naan is the reason I keep coming back – it's just consistently spot on, always arrives piping hot. Honestly, the best around.

Lively but still classy vibe, perfect for a relaxed evening. The wine list is well-curated, had a lovely red that paired beautifully with the steak. Just a bit on the louder side when it gets busy.

The staff here are so thoughtful. They remembered a regular's birthday and gave her flowers.

A lovely, cosy spot. The sea bass special was really nicely done, and the sticky toffee pudding was just right. What stood out was how comfortable the seating was – you could settle in for a while without feeling rushed.

The DIY steak on a hot stone was a fun idea. My fillet was juicy and cooked just right. It’s a bit of a gimmick, but I enjoyed the control. The stone stayed hot throughout. Would do it again for the novelty.

The mezze platter was a real treat. I appreciated the variety of fresh vegetable options, perfect for a light lunch. The hummus was particularly creamy and the tabbouleh had a lovely crispness to it. A nice spot for a healthy meal.

I love how dog-friendly this cafe is! The coffee is really good, and I appreciate that their cakes are made with fresh, simple ingredients. It’s a nice spot to sit with my pup and watch the market go by. The carrot cake was moist and not overly sweet.

Popped in for a green tea and an almond croissant. The sandwich was lovely - tender meat, tangy sauce. It's a cozy spot, really relaxed. Perfect for catching up with a friend when you don't want a loud place.

The pastrami sandwich was so fresh, with crisp lettuce and quality meat. A really satisfying lunch.

The apple and raspberry pasty was a lovely surprise! So nice to have a sweet option for a change. Perfect for sharing with a friend over coffee.

Always packed on market days, but they still serve up fantastic food. The service is impressively quick even when they're swamped.

The soft play area saved us on a rainy afternoon. Kids were entertained for a solid two hours. The view of the lake from the terrace is really nice, a good spot to relax while they play.
