Stopped by for a quick drink and the staff were so nice. They let me try a sip of their house lager before I ordered a pint. The vibe in here is just really relaxed and friendly.

Been coming here for years. The pasta dishes are just like what I had in Rome – simple, hearty, and you get a good plateful for your money. No fuss, just proper food.

Came here for a quiet dinner. The service was efficient and friendly, which made the whole evening very relaxed. I particularly enjoyed the okra side dish. The prosecco was a nice surprise, too. A comfortable spot for a low-key night out.

Good spot for a quick bite. Mussels were solid, dessert was nice. Service friendly but a bit slow.

The new sharing chips were a solid menu addition. Decent portion, crispy on the outside, fluffy inside. They came out hot and well-seasoned. A nice side to share, though the aioli could have had a bit more punch.

I haven't been to the Fishers Pond so this was a trip back in time. The setting is still as I remember, obviously the staff and menu wasn't going to be the same but I wasn't disappointed, the menu provides a variety of dishes and the roast which we chose was probably one of the best i have had. As for the staff, friendly and efficient, so big 10/10 to all!

Really lovely meal out for four people. I can especially recommend the sea bass - great presentation and delicious. Attentive waiting staff as well.

Absolutely excellent roast dinner, we will definitely be back again soon! Everything was brilliant. The lovely new landlady, Rebecca, came around personally to introduce herself and check how our meal was, really nice touch!

Been coming here for years, and it's always well-stocked with Isle of Wight products. Nice to know the shop supports the Abbey.

Love how much space there is here! Plenty of tables inside and out. It's perfect for catching up with a group - you never feel cramped. You order at the counter and they bring it over. Staff were really nice.

Great spot by the seafront. Drinks are cheap and they've got a massive selection.

Booked for three nights, right on the Shanklin seafront which was ideal. Ate in the restaurant each evening. The portions were really generous for the price, which was a pleasant surprise. My partner and I both had the fish and chips one night – very filling. Good value for a seaside stay.

Been meaning to try this place for ages. The daily special was a proper portion for the price, really hit the spot. The chef clearly knows their stuff, everything was cooked just right. Good value for a proper meal out.

The steak and ale pie was a proper hearty portion, just what you want on a chilly evening. Gravy was rich and deep. Paired it with a robust red from their list, which cut through the richness nicely. Solid pub grub.

Been coming here for years and the mussels starter is always spot on. Generous portion, great sauce.

First time here, and I’ll definitely return. I went for the ham and croissant—so simple but really good. The croissant was buttery and flaky, just right. My husband’s club sandwich looked great too. Next time I’m trying something a bit more adventurous from the menu!

Been coming here for years, and Janie’s service is always spot on. She’s got a real knack for making you feel looked after without being over the top. Just a genuine smile and good chat. That kind of consistency keeps me coming back.

Came for a special dinner. The mussels were incredible – perfectly cooked, fantastic broth. Kitchen clearly knows what they're doing. Service was spot-on too. A really good night.

The full English breakfast was pretty good. The bacon and sausages were decent, and the beans were a nice touch. My wife enjoyed her scrambled eggs. It was a solid start to the day, though the coffee could have been a bit hotter.

They made a lovely chicken dish off-menu for a food allergy, which was really thoughtful.

Service was spot on, staff were really friendly and attentive. Food came out quick, which was great. Felt relaxed the whole time.

Lovely little spot with that rustic, trendy decor. The veggie full English was honestly the best I've had. Just a really nice, relaxed place to sit and enjoy a meal.

Loved the art deco interior, but that patio view is the real draw. Sat out there for lunch, just watching the ocean. The grilled fish was decent, though a bit pricey for the portion. Still, that view with a glass of wine? Hard to beat.

The quiz night was a blast! The host kept things moving and the questions were actually fun, not just random trivia. We didn't win bingo, but the whole vibe was so energetic. Definitely a solid spot for a laugh with mates.

The Sunday roast is a solid choice. The beef was cooked just right, and the trimmings were generous. Gets busy, so book ahead.

The schnitzel and goulash are so good for the price! Perfect spot for a casual catch-up with mates.

Really cosy place, staff are lovely. The brownies are fantastic, but you've gotta be quick – they sell out fast!

The French onion soup was the star. So rich and comforting, with that deep, savoury flavour. Just the right amount of cheese on top. It was exactly what I needed.

The flat white's really good. Love how the space feels so relaxed.
