Love the vibe here. It’s a proper pub but feels like a proper food spot too. The bar staff are friendly and really know their beers. Those German lagers on tap are a great choice.

Been coming here for years. The senior menu's always £7.49 for three courses, which is a big part of why I keep coming back. Had the soup, fish and chips, and a dessert last week. It's just consistently good.

The weekday fish and chips deal is a steal with a pint. The batter was properly light and crisp, and the fish inside was flaky and moist. Hit the spot for a classic pub lunch.

We come here often. The food is always reliable and the prices are fair. My only note is that it gets quite loud from the sports bar side after 8pm or so, which can be a bit much if you're looking for a quiet chat.

A proper Sunday roast. The beef was tender, and the Yorkshire pudding was spot on. Portions are generous, you won’t leave hungry. The gravy could have been a bit hotter, but that’s a small thing. Really liked the relaxed, no-fuss feel of the place.

Solid carvery, everything cooked well. The cauliflower cheese was a standout. Good value for the quality. Service was efficient, got us in and out for a quick business lunch.

Rooms are spotless and have everything you need. Service is quick and efficient. The food is homemade and the prices are reasonable.

Came here for a quick breakfast with a friend. The app ordering was super handy, food came out in minutes. The endless coffee refills are the real win though – kept us chatting for ages. 👍

The veggie pie is the star here. The filling is a proper mix of root veg and lentils, not just mush. The pastry is flaky and holds up well. Portions are generous for the price. My vegetarian mate was genuinely impressed, which says a lot.

The pub area’s vibe is decent, but honestly I’m here for the food. The live music on the patio can get a bit loud when you’re trying to focus on your plate.

The beer garden is spacious and a great spot on a sunny day. Had a business lunch here, and the relaxed atmosphere was exactly what we needed. Service was efficient, which is key.

The 2 for £14.99 deal is a solid find. Food was tasty, though the portions were a bit on the small side.

Cottage pie and hunter's chicken were spot on. The mash on the pie was creamy, chicken was juicy. Exactly what you want from a pub meal.

Lovely spot for a quiet evening. The staff were genuinely friendly and chatty, which made the whole visit feel relaxed and easy. I found a comfy corner seat and just enjoyed the music. A really nice, low-key place.

Good spot for a quiet drink. Near the hospital, so convenient. Clean and comfortable. Just what we needed.

A cosy local pub, perfect for a quiet evening. The surroundings are comfortable, and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. They have a good selection of local ales, which was a nice touch. A very pleasant spot to unwind.

Good to see vegan and gluten-free options clearly marked on the menu. Makes choosing straightforward.

Came here with a group for a birthday. The space is huge, perfect for a big crowd. The dance floor was a proper size, everyone got into it. Drinks were decent, nothing fancy. It did get a bit loud later on, but that's the point, right?

Lesley the owner went above and beyond to find my mate's lost ID. Spent a solid hour looking. Drinks were decent, and the student discount helps. Atmosphere's on point.

Got lucky with a table on a busy Sunday, no booking needed. The veggie breakfast burrito was the highlight for me - really fresh and full of flavour.

The unlimited steak deal is a total win for a group dinner. We stayed for ages, just chatting and ordering more rounds. Staff were so chill about it, never rushed us. Perfect for a long catch-up with mates.

Loved the Worthingtons here, and they had Abbot and Doom Bar too. The scampi was tasty. It's just a really solid, unpretentious pub. Everything's affordable, which is a nice change these days.

Great spot for a quick drink. The 2-for-£12 cocktail deal is a solid offer, and it's nice and relaxed. Good for people-watching on the corner.

Stumbled upon this spot while exploring. Their cocktail menu is huge, had a hard time choosing! The vibe was perfect for a relaxed catch-up with friends. Could easily spend a whole evening here.

Booked the Sunday roast. The roast beef was generous, and I really appreciated how fresh the seasonal vegetables tasted. Gravy was tasty too. A solid choice for a comforting meal.

Great spot for a casual catch-up! The place is massive, so we always manage to snag a table for our group. The best part? A pint is way cheaper than anywhere else around here. Perfect for when you just want a long chat without worrying about the bill. The view of the river is a nice bonus on a sunny day.

Been coming here for years, and the carvery is always spot on. The roast potatoes are crispy, the meat's never dry. It's just a solid, dependable meal every time. The gravy could be a bit thicker, but that's a minor thing.
