Been coming here for years. It's a proper local pub, the staff are friendly and always remember your name. Makes you feel at home.

The fish is so fresh, you can taste the quality. The new owners kept the same high standards, which is a relief. Really appreciate the focus on simple, clean ingredients. The welcome was warm, but the portion felt a bit small for the price. Still, a solid spot for a healthy meal.

I drive a fair way for this place. The portions are generous, and the quality is solid for the price. Always happy to make the trip.

The ingredients tasted so fresh, especially in the salad. Portions were a bit small for me, but the quality was there.

Great spot for a Sunday roast. Quick service for a sit-down meal, and they sorted my mate's gluten-free plate no problem.

Been here a few times for quick business lunches. The chickpea and spinach curry is a reliable choice, flavourful and not too heavy. Service is always efficient, which is key when you're on a tight schedule. Good spot near the office.

Great spot for a quick bite. Garlic bread was spot on, and the salmon roll was fresh. They made my pasta extra creamy, no fuss. Perfect for when you're in a rush but still want something decent.

Lovely, clean pub with a cozy feel. The steak and ale pie was spot on - rich gravy and proper flaky pastry. The gin and raspberry cheesecake was a real highlight, not too sweet. A solid meal.

The duck pancakes were really tasty and not greasy at all. The booths were comfortable, which made for a relaxed meal.

Stopped in for dinner while visiting Buxton. The young staff were really attentive, which made the whole evening feel relaxed. Came back the next night just for the pies, they were that good.

Solid spot for a quick lunch in Buxton. The owner is genuinely friendly, which made the service feel efficient and pleasant.

A real find in Buxton! The food is fresh and so tasty. It gets super busy though, perfect for a lively catch-up with friends if you book ahead.

Cosy place, friendly staff. The sharing platter to start was spot on – loads of variety. Steaks were cooked perfectly, just how I like them. Good choice of Belgian beers to go with it. Solid meal.

Been coming here for years, and the wood-fired oven always gives the pizza that spot-on char. It's the main reason I keep coming back.

The prawn cocktail was a fun throwback, really fresh and crisp. The daily burger special was solid, juicy with a good bun. But that banoffee tart... the toffee wasn't too sweet, and the pastry was just right. That's what I'll remember.

Stumbled in after a few places were full. The lamb casserole was spot on, really tender. Service was quick and friendly. Might swing by again this week.

The Singapore Chow Mein was spot on, really hit the spot. A simple spot, but the food's solid. Picked a crisp lager to go with it, worked a treat. Just what you want for a straightforward, tasty dinner.

The food was excellent and the ambience very pleasant. The only thing to note was the waiting time for the food to arrive and the fact that the reservation was lost. However we were sat straight away.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The sticky toffee pudding was the perfect way to end the meal, and the local ale complemented the food beautifully.
