Had their three-course lunch. Portions were decent for the price, honestly. Each dish was well-seasoned, cooked just right. Quality is up there with some Michelin spots I&#39;ve tried.

We had an early meal before the concert we were going to.  We had a small plate, brichetta, always very good and a tiramisu, to follow both excellent and  served very quickly,.  The waitress was very pleasant and efficient.

The set lunch is a solid deal. The crispy whitebait starter was a nice little bite. The dining room itself is really pleasant &ndash; high ceilings, lots of light, and the chairs are actually comfortable for a longer sit.

The staff are always so friendly and helpful, especially with food allergies. Even when it&#39;s packed, they keep things running smoothly.

Been to several places recently for lunch,non have been particularly good ,had a carvery last week in  Ellesmere Port. I don&#39;t know how they had the nerve to serve it. I had been to the Toby Inn many years ago,and it was always excellent,so suggested we try it this week . It was absolutely marvellous. Could not fault it at all. We will be back next week for certain.Would definitely recommend  to anyone.Excellent food,good service, sensibly priced.

The Forge offers an incredible dining experience with fantastic food and attentive service. The Rib Eye Steak was cooked to perfection, making it one of the best steaks I&#39;ve had in a long time!
