Our first stop on our road trip to Liyang was Pu Su Teahouse, a hidden gem nestled in a tea garden! The moment we opened the car door, we were instantly captivated by the aroma of tea. This was the perfect starting point for our Liyang adventure!

Pu Su Teahouse is nestled deep within a lush tea garden, its white walls and black tiles framed by swaying bamboo trees. We especially recommend a seat by the second-floor window, where the rolling tea fields resemble a vast expanse of green ocean waves. Order a pot of freshly picked Mingqian white tea and pair it with their handmade pastries. The Longjing pastry is incredibly crispy, while the tea-flavored mochi are soft and chewy without being sticky. Time seems to slow down as we sip our tea and snacks, and time seems to slow down.

The most amazing thing is the farmhouse cuisine! The must-try dish is the Bamboo Forest Chicken, cooked on a clay stove. It uses free-range chicken raised in the tea forest, boasting firm meat and a subtle tea aroma. The Tea Shrimp, made with freshly peeled river shrimp, is incredibly tender. Even the simplest stir-fried vegetables have the unique sweetness of the tea garden. The owner explains that the vegetables are intercropped in his own tea fields, so it&#39;s no wonder the whole family praised the meal as &quot;tasting like childhood.&quot;

This restaurant is perfect for bringing the elderly and children. There&#39;s an area in the backyard where you can experience tea picking and stir-frying. Watching children diligently stand on tiptoe to pick young buds, while elderly people teach the traditional tea-stirring techniques, your phone album will be filled with heartwarming moments.
