A YI SHI TANG

This restaurant has always been on my favorites. I went there specially but it seems unhappy. This time I happened to go to the nearby tax office to do some business, so how could I miss it? I arrived a little before lunch. There was no room indoors, so I chose an outdoor seat and ordered lion head and oyster mushroom beef. I wanted to eat knife fish wontons, but they were not available when we went there. There were only yellow croaker wontons, but I don't like seafood, so I had to give up. The lion head is quite big, with black pepper-flavored juice inside. Maybe I expected too much, it felt average, because my family often makes lion heads by ourselves, so I don't feel a big difference in quality. What was more unexpected was the oyster mushroom beef, which was very tasty and large in quantity. I don't recommend mushrooms, they are too straightforward, and there are relatively few vegetable dishes. You can try it when you pass by at mealtime.

Auntie Canteen is located deep in the alley of Kunming Road. It is open-air, with bird cages and a goldfish pond. It is a quiet place. The signature dish is wontons, which are large and have plenty of fillings. I like the wontons with matsutake mushrooms, which have a soft, fragrant and chewy skin.

This canteen is very famous, and it can be regarded as an Internet celebrity! But I won't come here specially, it's too far. I happened to go to Xinhua twice, and it's relatively close here, and you can also park in the park. I came late at noon and many things were sold out, such as lion's head. I ordered a crispy barbecued pork and black pepper beef, both of which were delicious. Later, it was a weekend, and I finally ate the lion's head at noon, but I didn't know what the black and sticky core that tasted like pepper was, and I immediately turned it off. Moreover, the price is different on weekends, and there are a few more small side dishes, which is completely unnecessary and the price-performance ratio is also poor. The aunts are all from Shanghai, and they are quite cute.
