ATELIER IZAKAYA I've always been drawn to this dark yakitori place 🐦 I went this time for Restaurant Week, and the set menu was quite extensive: appetizer + hot dish + 4 yakitori skewers + main course + drink (some extra charges apply). The industrial feel hits you right upon entering. It's quite crowded, lively but not noisy, and the counter is quite chill. The dimly lit environment and soft lighting complement the smoky, open-grill charcoal grilling. Compared to other dark-themed restaurants, the overall experience is quite pleasant. As a creative Japanese restaurant, featuring yakitori is easy to go wrong. The overall quality of the yakitori grilling is consistently high, and many of the dishes are signature dishes. My favorites are the wagyu ribs and the plum and shiso chicken thighs. 🤎🤎🤎 Beef ribs Rich in aroma, tender and juicy, with a superb texture and a rich, oily texture. 💜💜💜 Shiso chicken thighs Pre-marinated chicken thighs🍗 Fresh and juicy. It's more naturally flavorful than grilling it with sauce. The perilla flavor is incredibly refreshing, perfectly enhancing the flavor and relieving the greasiness. 🧡🧡🧡Wine-marinated prawns Super fresh, marinated in sake and Huadiao wine, the wine flavor is richer than usual. Slightly sweet, you absolutely have to savor the shrimp paste; it's the essence, even better than the shrimp itself. 💛💛💛Stir-fried Chinese tiger throat Similar to Yunnan oil-fried Chinese tiger throat, stir-fried quickly over high heat. The heat is perfectly controlled, allowing the tiger throat to retain its original crispness and springiness, while also locking in the spice and bringing out the aroma of the basil. 🤎🤎🤎Beef bone marrow It's a real surprise! Two large pieces of bone marrow are topped with yuzu chili sauce, miso, and roasted garlic slices.
