This morning I had to catch the high-speed train to Shaoxing East (in Shangyu) to return to Shanghai. I didn't have time to have breakfast at the hotel. Last night I asked about this shop on Yuexiu Road and it opened at 6:00 in the morning. I packed my luggage early in the morning and came to this shop for breakfast at 6:40. I went in from the east entrance of Yuexiu Road. I didn't expect that there were not many breakfast shops on this street full of brightly lit restaurants at night. When I came, there was only one customer eating. I decided to order a lamb bone (30 yuan) for breakfast. This is a snack variety I haven't had time to taste in Shengzhou. I also ordered a steamed pork bun (8 yuan) and a pan-fried Huangze tofu bun (13 yuan). I plan to pack these two back to Shanghai for my daughter. She especially likes steamed buns. I want her to try the steamed buns in Shengzhou, especially the tofu buns that are not available in Shanghai. When the lamb bones came up, it was not quite the same as I imagined. There were lamb spines inside, and there was no vermicelli or noodles at all. Then I remembered that it was called lamb bone noodles in other shops. Let’s eat it, and try their steamed pork buns and pan-fried tofu buns while they’re still hot. They’re pretty good.

I have eaten Fat Sister Tofu Buns, Yuying Tofu Buns, 30-year-old Dried Vegetable Cakes, barbecue, stir-fry, etc. Every day, I see a constant stream of people coming here, and it is even more bustling on weekends. Tofu Buns: Shengzhou calls all kinds of buns "mantou", and the real buns without stuffing are called "light buns". The local specialty "Huangze Tofu Buns" is actually tofu buns. The hot dough skin is extremely thin, and it shakes when you pick it up, and it is so soft that you need to be extra careful. The skin is crystal clear, and you can see the stuffing inside. Tofu is a specialty of Changle Town, Shengzhou, and the rennet tofu is different from the brine tofu eaten in the north. The taste of tofu buns is almost the same in every store. Dried vegetable pancakes: Dried vegetable pancakes on Yuexiu Road from a 30-year-old stall ~ 4 yuan for a dried vegetable pancake and 6 yuan for a dried vegetable meat pancake. The master kneaded the dough, rolled the dough, wrapped the vegetables and meat into the pancake and rolled it, and then put it into the pot next to it. After a while, the fragrant dried vegetable pancakes came out of the pot. They were soft and fragrant, and people couldn't get enough of them.
