To be honest, the buns taste great, better than those big-name buns. Personally, I think the side dishes are really good. Paired with beer, beef
Searched the ranking of steamed buns and this one is number one. I came here as soon as I got off the bus. There were not many people in the morning. I felt that this place was not good at that time. I went to the counter and bought three or two of each steamed bun. The steamed buns are not cheap. I spent more than 100 yuan for a breakfast. When I ate it, the taste was really not good. I really don’t know how this steamed bun ranked first? It’s not as good as the third steamed bun I have eaten. It’s too ordinary. I really can’t believe the rankings and don’t believe some guide recommendations. This steamed bun is ranked tenth at most in Tianjin. It’s not delicious. If you have eaten steamed buns from many places and have a comparison, you will know whether this one is good or not.

Six hundred years ago, merchant ships carrying salt, grain, and fireworks docked here, marking Tianjin's birth from the river and its prosperity from the sea. From the bustling canal wharves of the Ming and Qing dynasties to the collision of Chinese and Western cultures after the city opened to foreign trade, this city retains both the old-world charm of Tianjin and the allure of European-style streets. Yan Fu spread new learning here, and century-old Western-style buildings bear witness to the changing times. Today, the Haihe River still flows, blending tradition and modernity into a unique Tianjin charm. ✅Itinerary: 1. Tianjin Eye: After breakfast, head straight to Yongle Bridge and ride the world's only Ferris wheel on a bridge. Enjoy a 30-minute panoramic view of the winding Haihe River. The city panorama in the morning light is exceptionally photogenic. It's recommended to arrive early to avoid queues. 2. Ancient Culture Street: Accessible by foot or bike, this 687-meter-long old street encapsulates the essence of Tianjin's local flavor. Admire the clay figurines of Zhang, the Yangliuqing New Year paintings, and sample the Erduoyan fried cakes. Don't miss the Ming and Qing dynasty architecture of the Jade Emperor Pavilion and Tongqing Lane. 3. Drum Tower: Seamlessly connected to the Ancient Culture Street, climb the tower for panoramic views of the old city's fabric. Rest at one of the time-honored teahouses in the surrounding alleys and experience the vibrant local life. 4. Italian Style Area: Choose a European-style restaurant here for lunch. Stroll along the cobblestone streets past red-roofed Western-style buildings, take photos under the Baroque columns, and enjoy the ambiance of an outdoor seating area in the evening. 5. Five Avenues: Explore the "World Architecture Expo" by bicycle or horse-drawn carriage. Over 2,000 century-old Western-style buildings hold countless stories. The Roman-columned colonnade on Hebei Road and the red-roofed Western-style houses on Chongqing Road are must-see photo spots. 6. Xikai Church: Within walking distance. This free Romanesque church features three 45-meter green domes, with stained glass windows casting dappled light and shadow. The interior is quiet and solemn, perfect for quiet contemplation. 7. Porcelain House: A French-style building decorated with 16,000 pieces of antique porcelain. The porcelain dragons on the exterior walls are lifelike, and the interior staircase and Song Dynasty porcelain pillows are worth a closer look. Admission is 50 yuan. A highly recognizable photo spot. 8. Jiefang Bridge: The final stop on the itinerary. In the evening, watch the bridge lights up, then walk to Jinwan Square to admire the European-style architecture and the night view of the Haihe River, concluding your day trip. ‼ Tips • 🚗 Transportation: City attractions are concentrated in one area; cycling or taking the subway is the most convenient. For the Five Avenues area, renting a multi-person bicycle is recommended. • 🥘🥘🥘 Food: Besides Erduoyan Fried Cake, try Nanlou Pancakes, Jinmen Zhangji Steamed Buns, and the Crab Roe Noodles near the Porcelain House are worth a try. • 🌺🌺🌺 Etiquette: Keep quiet inside Xikai Church and do not take photos indiscriminately; respect local customs in the Ancient Culture Street. #TianjinTourism #NewOrientalExpressTrip #UniversityStudentSpecialForces #SoloTravel #🚶♂️EfficientOneDayTripItinerary (Essential Version)
