I took Chenbao back to Ya'an for May Day. Every time we go back, we check out all sorts of delicious food. Let's share with you our roundup of three restaurants we've visited countless times. Here are some highlights and some things to avoid. Save this for your reference. 🍚No.1 Shunshan Restaurant (20+ RMB per person, Photos 1-7) A 20-year-old favorite in the market! I love their crucian carp with patchouli 🐟 The sweet and refreshing patchouli aroma is irresistible! The pig's trotter soup is generous and affordable, with a refreshingly sweet and non-greasy flavor. Half a pig's trotter is in it 👵 But! Only order one serving of tuotuo meat! Trust me, the second piece is too much! (Photos 2-3 show two servings, 10 RMB each. Four adults couldn't finish them. See the pictures for details! See the pictures for reviews of other dishes as well.) 💣No.2 Jihong Shunhe Shaoshou (Note: Warning, Photos 8-9) A viral favorite for wontons! Personally, I think only the dry-mixed garlic noodles can beat them 😭 Chicken soup wontons, give me a try! The brown sugar rice cakes are so sweet they're a diabetes warning! A bit pricey 💰 🍜No.3 Yibahuo Dada Noodles (A must-try for families, pictures 10-14) Beats the internet-famous Huangji! The noodles are thinner, softer, and more flavorful~ This is also Chenbao's go-to place every time he comes back. Perfect for breakfast with kids 🥣 My kids and I love the three-fresh noodles the most. The broth is not spicy, and the dried bamboo shoots become more fragrant the more you chew them. The meat is a bit tough, though. The big meat noodles are also classic, with a rich and flavorful braised sauce that's fragrant but not spicy. And they come with three pieces of Dongpo pork! Meat lovers revel 🎉 (But the mixed sauce dry noodles are just average! The cold bamboo shoots are surprisingly amazing!) A Ya'an wife is online asking for recommendations! "Check in!" Must-try food in Ya'an You get what you pay for! Food recommendations based on your taste (The restaurant's menu is attached at the end.) Restaurant Name: Gan Lao Si Ya Fish Restaurant Location: Next to the Procuratorate at the intersection of Shawan Road and Yingxin Street Review: The fish soup is quite fresh, with quite a few bones (the main dish is fish). Restaurant Name: Yibahuo Tata Noodles Location: Across from Wanda Plaza Review: The noodles are chewy and have a good texture. The beef is generously sized. A conscientious seller (the chicken feet were surprisingly delicious). Restaurant Name: Jihong Shunhe Chaoshou Location: No. 31, Middle Section, Xikang Road Review: The brown sugar in the glutinous rice cake is a bit too sweet. It would be better if it were made with soybean flour. The glutinous rice and salted egg are generally good, but the glutinous rice is a bit hard. Restaurant Name: Xiao Pan Fatty Pork Ribs Location: No. 6, Fulong Lane, Yucheng District Review: The ambiance is average, but the BBQ is indeed delicious. If you're here to check in, be sure to arrive early. Open. 5:30 PM - 12:30 AM I also highly recommend visiting Ya'an Chuan Nong Xiao Food Street. In my opinion, while street food is delicious, most of it is tacky, dirty, and outdated. |The simple style, clean ingredients, and fresh facade make passersby look back and wonder: Who created such a charming stall? Maybe we've all grown up, or maybe it's the influence of the surrounding campus atmosphere, but besides the usual smoky atmosphere, there seems to be a touch of youthful pursuits in life. "Drink on Time" Couple's Wine Stand - The young proprietress came to Ya'an for love. Her drinks are sweet and refreshing. Their dog, Shuai Shuai, accompanies them every day. They're talking about opening a bar for young people next month. The handsome guy's bacon rolls are surprisingly juicy and plump. I've had the egg cake in the bottom picture since I can remember, and I always order the chocolate and peanut butter version every time I come back.
