Who knows the value of this black sesame mooncake? I like it very much. It is delicious and has a lot of fillings.
This is my second year visiting Putuo, and I stopped by the Donghe Market in Shenjiamen. It was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend it as a last stop for tourists – you can find everything you need for food and souvenirs in one place! ☑️ Jianmin Pastry Shop: Their glutinous rice cake family feast is amazing! The mooncakes are incredibly crumbly, but some flavors only come out in the afternoon, so you can add the owner on WeChat to confirm beforehand. They're generally not oily or overly sweet, very tasty! ☑️ The large steamed buns are said to be a popular choice among locals. They're filled with various fillings, and I've already taken some home. ☑️ On the way back, I also ate at Ahong Noodle Shop – the best value for money! A serving is only 50 yuan, and you can try many different kinds of noodles. It's much cheaper than Feizhu Noodle Shop last year, and it didn't leave me thirsty or too salty. The only downside is the environment is just average.

Who understands, folks! I headed up Mount Putuo with the goal of "purifying my soul," and nearly became a "walking invalid" due to the cobblestone roads. 🚶♀️ Thankfully, after all the pitfalls, I've gathered a whole article full of helpful tips: a complete guide to praying, taking photos, and eating. Even beginners can copy them! 🗺️ Two routes are legendary! No more ineffective walking. 🔹 Early Bird Prayer Route (Working Weekend Edition) Wharf → Nanhai Guanyin Temple (arrive before 7:00 PM! Soft light for photos without backlight, and amazing aerial shots of the lotus tiles) → Puji Temple (few pilgrims before 8:00 PM, and the Jialan Hall is especially effective for praying for wealth ✨) → Fayu Temple (the Nine Dragon Wall is even more Zen-like when photographed in the rain) → Cable car to Foding Mountain (40 yuan one way, but don't try to tackle the 1,088 steps if you're afraid of fatigue). ✅ Tip: Pray clockwise around Nanhai Guanyin Temple for a clearer wish! 🔹 Slow down and find your perfect spot (a must-do for art lovers) Don't go to Guanyin Temple (blue windows and white walls for a Japanese vibe) → Fanyin Cave (take photos of the sea and sky merging on the cliffside plank road) → Qianbusha (the beach has a mirror-like feel at low tide) → Xitian Scenic Area (watch the sunset from Pantuo Rock, where the sunset glow paints the sea red, a truly relaxing experience) 💰 Avoid the pitfalls! Spend every penny wisely ✔️ Must-dos: - Buy a 30-yuan bus pass! A single trip is 5-10 yuan, saving you dozens of yuan in a day. - Buy reusable incense at "Zhengxiang Store" at the scenic area entrance for 15 yuan, half the price of the pier. - Eat 8-element noodles at Huiji Temple; the mushroom and gluten noodles are so delicious you'll stomp your feet. ❌ Don't trust illegal taxis at the pier! It's more reliable to take a tourist bus from Zhoushan Station directly to Zhujiajian Pier. - Choose seafood stalls carefully in the scenic area! Reassure yourself by clearly marked prices at Shenjiamen Fishing Port. - Popular vegetarian restaurants are too expensive. "Xianghua Vegetarian Restaurant" next to Fayu Temple offers a full meal for 35 yuan. 📸 Secretly Hidden Photo Spots + Fun Facts 1. Night Tour of Haiyin Pond at Puji Temple! After the lights turn on at 7:30 PM, take photos of the ancient reflections for free. 2. Rub a hundred-yuan bill with the last digits 8 or 9 against the wall at Shancai Cave to bring good fortune – a truly magical ritual. 3. Praying for love under the thousand-year-old ginkgo tree in the Imperial Stele Hall of Puji Temple is said to be incredibly effective. 4. Don't be discouraged on rainy days! The "Zen" atmosphere of rain and fog surrounding the ancient temple is a hidden gem for seasoned pilgrims. 🧳 Life-saving equipment checklist! Don't bring anything you don't bring, and you'll regret it for three days. - Cushioned sneakers 👟: The cobblestone streets and steps make even those in leather shoes tear up. - Cash and change 💴: The temple only accepts cash for incense and flower vouchers, so be prepared for 5/10 yuan. - Thin windproof jacket 🧥: The wind is strong on the sea, and sweating in the breeze can quickly catch a cold. - Folding umbrella ☂️: The island's UV rays are strong, and showers can be unpredictable. 🍜 A must-try for foodies! Both the vegetarian and seafood options are excellent. - Fodingshan Vegetarian Restaurant: The mushroom and gluten noodles are incredible, and a full meal for 20 yuan is incredibly affordable. - Abao Seafood Noodles: A local's hidden gem, a bowl packed with ingredients for 30 yuan. - Jianmin Bakery: Sweet and savory seaweed-flavored pastries, a great souvenir. - Yuanjin Snack Shop: Freshly baked lard and scallion pancakes, you can get five per person! ️ Don't be fooled by the "Buddhist Travel" hype! Only with a well-thought-out guide can you truly find peace amidst the morning bells and evening drums, the golden sands, and the white waves. May all your wishes come true, and may your feet remain pain-free upon your descent. ✨ #PutuoshanGuide #ZhoushanTravel #PrayerGuide #AvoidTricks #IslandVacation
