A decent pub with pretty good food and a nice atmosphere. The outdoor seating has lovely views, though it can get a bit crowded. Had a pleasant evening there.

The cod in the fish and chips was spot on. Really fresh, flaky inside with a crisp batter that wasn't greasy at all. The portion was huge, I couldn't finish it all. Just a solid plate of fish and chips.

Nice spot after a walk. The view from Cleeve Hill is the main event. Had a coffee and just sat there for a bit. Parking was easy, which helps. Solid place to pause.

Sunday roast was spot on. Beef was really tender, gravy had a nice depth to it. Portions are big, left feeling pretty full. Classic pub stuff done right.

The food here is so pretty and creative, not your usual pub grub. Perfect for catching up with friends over something a bit special.

The rooms were really spacious and spotless. Perfect for crashing after a long day of hiking. Felt like a proper cosy retreat without breaking the bank.

The full English breakfast was solid and reasonably priced. Staff were efficient and the place was spotless.

Just discovered this little pub tucked away in Friars Entry. The Alice in Wonderland theme is so fun and quirky, really makes the place. Had a chilled evening here with mates.

Tried their early dinner set menu. The spicy prawn and mussel pizzette was a standout – really fresh and the kick was just right. Portions were generous too, felt like a good deal for what you get.

We arrived for a 12.15 pm lunch in order to beat the busy period. Most customers were outside in the sunshine but we had chosen to eat indoors. The chairs were very comfortable and the ambiance very tasteful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My sister in law and I had the sea bass fillets and my husband had the gammon. Plates were all clean and my husband and I had a dessert. We will be back the next time we visit the area.

We had a group of 20 and they handled it so well! The staff were really friendly and everything came out quickly. The food was a nice surprise - lots of choice and everything tasted fresh.

Been coming here for years, and the fish and chips portion is always huge. It's a reliable spot for that.

A proper local pub, and they're very welcoming to dogs - even had treats for our spaniel. Nice to see. The pale ale on tap was a solid choice, went well with the simple ploughman's lunch. Could do with a few more craft options on the menu though.

Such a dog-friendly spot! The staff are always so sweet to my pup, makes it a perfect place to meet friends.

The wine list had some nice options to pair with our meal, and the bill came to about £75 for three courses. Good value.

Bottomless brunch was a vibe. The Hugo Spritz is my new favourite, lush and they kept them coming. Staff were lovely, really attentive without hovering. Food was decent, no complaints. Just a nice, easy Sunday.

The bottomless brunch was decent. Staff were really on it with the refills, my glass was never empty for long. For the price, that kind of attentive service is a plus.

The refurb looks great, the inside is really tasteful now. We sat outside and it was lovely, perfect for a sunny afternoon. Food was decent, nothing mind-blowing but solid. A bit pricey for what it is though.

Popped in for a quick bite after getting off the train. The location is spot on, right in the middle of everything. Easy to find and a good starting point for a wander around town.

Breakfast spot near the office. Bacon and egg waffles with maple syrup were solid, good portion. Pricing is competitive with other places in the area. Service was efficient, got my order quickly. Convenient for a working weekday.

Lovely garden setting, very peaceful for a quiet lunch. The minted lamb shank was tender and fell right off the bone. The sticky toffee pudding was a nice finish. A comfortable spot to unwind.

Stopped by for a pint after work. It's a proper old pub, feels cosy. Had a couple of their ales, really good. Saw a steak pie go past to another table and it looked spot on. Staff were dead friendly.

The roast beef was the standout. Cooked medium-rare, it was incredibly tender and juicy, with a proper Yorkshire pudding that soaked up the gravy perfectly. That's the dish I'd come back for.

Great Sunday roast, and they're really welcoming to dogs. Staff were patient when we were waiting for friends.

The signature burger was spot on. What really made it for me was the house red they suggested - a nice, earthy Pinot Noir that cut through the richness perfectly. A solid pairing. The burger itself was juicy and well-seasoned, just how I like it. Been a minute since I enjoyed one this much.

The staff here are always so friendly and efficient. They really make you feel welcome, like you're a local. It's a nice, relaxed vibe.

Service was spot on. Staff were really attentive, checked in just the right amount. Made for a relaxed evening.

We popped in for a family lunch. Russ prepared our meals, and the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh. The salmon was perfectly cooked, and the salad greens were crisp. It's nice to find a place that clearly cares about the quality of their produce.

Been coming here for years. The new look is much brighter and cleaner, which is a nice change. Had the fish and chips today, still as good as ever. Just feels a bit more pleasant to sit in now.
