The set menu here is a solid deal—three courses for what you'd pay for a main elsewhere in Ticino. Portions were decent too. Right by the lake, so the location does the heavy lifting.

The staff were lovely, really attentive without hovering. My pasta was solid, though the salad was nothing special. They paired a nice glass of wine with it, which made the meal better.

Stopped here after getting off the train—so convenient. I had the polenta dish and honestly, the texture was spot on. You can tell they use good ingredients, nothing overly complicated. Prices felt fair for the quality. Service was friendly, not hovering. A solid spot if you're in the area and want something simple and fresh.

The tagliata here was honestly the best I've had in a long time. Cooked perfectly, still pink inside, and the seasoning was just right. I went for lunch on a weekday and it wasn't too busy. Only thing is the portions are a bit small for the price, but the flavour made up for it.

Lovely little courtyard tucked away near the station. We sat outside and it was peaceful enough to actually talk. Octopus and potato salad was a solid portion, not stingy at all. Fair for what you get.

The grilled octopus was the standout — tender, smoky, not rubbery at all. Wine list is solid too. Place gets busy but the noise stays bearable. Nothing fancy, just a dependable spot for a casual dinner.

The risotto al merlot really hit the spot—creamy, rich, and cooked just right. Sat outside by the square, which was lovely for people-watching. Only hiccup was asking about gluten-free options; staff seemed a bit unsure. Not a big deal for me, but worth knowing if you have dietary stuff. Would come back for that risotto though.

Stopped by for lunch after a walk nearby. The grotto setting is pretty unique, gives the place a local feel. Food was solid, classic dishes done right. Service was efficient, no complaints. Portions decent for the price. If you're in the area and want something straightforward, it works. Just don't expect anything fancy.

Came for dinner, the burger was properly juicy and the bun held up well. Staff knew when to step back, which I appreciate. Nice lake view from the table. My wine was a bit warm though, could've been kept cooler. Solid spot if you're in the area and want something easy.

Lovely spot by the harbor, the grilled fish was really good. Risotto al parmigiano too. Prices are steep but the view makes up for it.

Cozy spot in Ascona, pasta bolognese was solid and fairly priced. A glass of their house red paired nicely with it. Nothing fancy, but dependable.

Stopped by for a drink after wandering around Ascona—such a prime spot for people-watching. Cocktails were solid, nothing mind-blowing, but the vibe was right. Service was friendly and quick, even when it got busier later. Good place to kick off a night out with friends, for sure. Maybe not a destination itself, but it works.

The steak came out exactly as I asked, and the risotto was rich without being too heavy. Server checked on us just the right amount, not hovering. Place was busy but we never felt rushed. Only thing is the tables are a bit close together, but that's pretty standard for this area. Solid dinner spot.

Nice wine list, and the staff actually knew how to pair it with our dishes. Food was solid, nothing mind-blowing, but the service made it easy to linger. Good spot if you want a relaxed dinner without fuss. 🍷

Stopped by for lunch and the place has that warm, casual vibe. Portions are really generous, food came out looking fresh and neat. Sat near the window, chairs were comfy enough to linger a bit. Service was friendly without hovering. Nothing fancy, but it does the job for a relaxed meal.

Climbed up here on a lunch break and grabbed a seat by the window. Braised beef with polenta was solid—meat was tender, sauce had good depth. Didn't try the wine list, just got a coffee after. Place fills up fast around noon, so come early if you want a table. Service was quick enough for a workday stop.

Stopped by for dinner on a quiet weeknight. Got the vegan tasting menu, honestly surprised me. Lots of layers in each plate, not just the usual boring vegetables. The mix of Asian and European stuff worked better than I expected. Bar next door looked cool too, but I didn't stay for a drink. Maybe next time.

Stopped in for a beer after a hike and the tapas turned out to be the real highlight. Friendly service too. Nice little find.

Came for the ribs, left happy. Meat was properly tender, and the Gorgonzola risotto hit the spot. Owner Miky’s a solid host. Bit of a walk to find it, but no regrets.

The linguine with shrimp was fresh and the red sauce had real flavor. Letizia and Daniela took care of us the whole night, super friendly. Great spot to come with friends, the view alone is worth it 🌊

Popped in for a late lunch and grabbed a seat at the bar. The carbonara was solid—creamy without being heavy, and the portion was plenty. I had a glass of the house red with it, which worked better than I expected. It's tucked away from the main tourist drag, so it felt more like a local spot. Service was fine, nothing fancy, but I wasn't in a rush.

Decent spot right across from Swissminiatur. Pizza was pretty good, and the burger selection looked fine too. Prices felt a bit more reasonable than central Lugano. We sat outside and the lake view made it easy to stay a while. Service was okay, nothing special, but I’d come back if I’m in the area.

Staff here are super friendly and quick. Pizza was solid, nothing fancy but hit the spot for a lunch break. Menu's got enough options to keep it interesting.

The beef tartar here is the real deal. Clean, fresh, well-seasoned, no fuss. Alessandro knows what he's doing behind the counter. I'd come back just for that plate. Maybe try the rest of the menu next time, but honestly, the tartar alone is enough reason.

The View exceeded all expectations providing a fabulous dining experience in celebration of my husband’s birthday! It was superb!

The focaccia here is something else. Never had it like this before. It's got this crisp, almost flaky crust, but the inside stays so soft and airy. A little pricey for bread, but it's a whole experience on its own.

Tuna tartar, smoked salmon, pizza, wine - all was very good and fast. Albeit not a fashion restaurant but cosy and nice. Reserved a table and had no regret. Recommended

The staff were so friendly, which made the whole visit really pleasant. It's a quiet spot, perfect for a relaxed coffee. I appreciated not having to rush.
