Stopped by for a late lunch and grabbed the grilled salmon with greens. Fish was fresh, flaky, not overcooked. That’s the main thing for me—when a place gets the protein right, I’m happy. Portion was decent too. Room was a bit warm near the window, but nothing a cold drink couldn’t fix. Would come back if I’m in the area.

Took the drive out here on a quiet afternoon. The lanes are proper narrow, so take it handy. Place itself is tucked away, easy to miss if you're not watching. Had the lamb, it was cooked well. Not cheap, but you're paying for the peace and quiet. I'd say it's a solid spot if you're local and don't mind the trek. Service was grand, no complaints.

Stopped in for breakfast and honestly the food was solid. Got a bit of a mix-up with the order but the staff sorted it out quick enough, no drama. Place looks lovely, especially near the windows with the morning light coming in. Wouldn't mind going back if I'm in the area again.

The seafood risotto was the standout—prawns, mussels, and monkfish all cooked properly. Rich base, not too heavy. Cocktails were decent too. One of the better spots around for that dish.

Stumbled in here on a Tuesday night and it was packed. Live music was just starting up, proper cozy vibe. Staff were sound, got me a pint quick enough. Didn't try the food but the quiz night they had on looked like a laugh. Decent spot if you're after a proper local.

Been coming here for a while now, and the Beamish is always spot on. Never had a bad pint, which is saying something. Food's decent too, the comfort stuff hits the spot when you need it. Caught a rugby match here last week, good craic. Place gets busy but it's part of the charm. Solid spot if you're in the area and want a proper pint without any fuss.

Solid spot for a quick bite. Got the pasta, it did the job. Place was busy so service was a bit slow, but the food came out alright. Wouldn't mind coming back if I'm in the area.

Been coming here on and off for the past year. The steak was cooked exactly how I asked, medium rare, and the chips were proper crispy. Place gets busy around 7 so you might wait a bit for a table, but it's worth it. Same quality every single time, that's why I keep coming back.

Solid whiskey selection here. Tried a peated Islay I'd never heard of and the bartender knew exactly how to talk about it. Outdoor seating was a bonus, though the street noise got a bit much.

Full Irish breakfast came out hot and quick, on proper warm toast. That's exactly what you want on a cold morning. Staff were sound, no fuss. Place is small but has a decent buzz to it. I'd say it's a solid spot if you're in the area and need something filling without the wait.

Stopped in before a show at the Opera House. Place was packed but they found us a table anyway. Had the pizza and fajitas, both were decent. Service was quick and the staff were sound. Nothing fancy but it did the job for a pre-theatre feed.

Loved watching the chefs at the open kitchen while we waited. Wood-fired pizza was solid, though the place got a bit loud by the end. Staff were friendly enough without hovering.

Big portions and the staff were sound. We sat inside cause it was lashing but it still had a nice buzz. The terrace would be deadly on a sunny day.

Stopped in for dinner last week and ordered the fish of the day. Really fresh, cooked simply, no fuss. Got a window table which was nice for people-watching. Service was friendly enough, though we did wait a bit between courses. Portion size felt right for the price. I'd come back if I'm in the area again.

The mix doner platter was a proper feast—lamb and chicken both tender, plenty of flavour. Sides were decent too. Finished with tiramisu, which was nicely balanced, not too sweet. Prices felt fair for what you get. Only thing is the place gets busy, so you might wait a bit for a table.

The tagliatelle al ragù was proper Italian, not the usual tourist stuff. Reminded me of my nonna's cooking. Pasta had the right bite.

Stopped in for a late lunch and the lamb really caught my attention — cooked properly, still juicy, not overdone like most places do it. Staff were sound, no fuss. Menu's simple enough, nothing fancy, but that's grand. Place has a relaxed vibe, though it did get a bit busy around 1. Wouldn't mind going back for that lamb again.

The Penne Arrabbiata here is proper comfort food—you can tell they don't mess around with the ingredients. I popped in on a Saturday evening and there was live jazz playing, which made the whole place feel a bit special. Only thing is it got fairly busy, so we waited a little longer for the food. Still, I'd go back for that pasta.

Taco fries were solid, really tasty. Chicken shawarma's pretty basic though, mostly purple cabbage, but still good. That 2-for-1 kebab deal between 12 and 4 is the real winner. Can't argue with that price.

Came back here again last week—still my go-to spot for a proper pint. Guinness was spot on, and the live music had the whole place singing. Staff remembered me too, which never hurts.

Handled our group of 10 no bother, even with kids and a coeliac. Butter chicken was the standout. Service kept up the whole night.

The fish and chips were spot on — crispy batter, fresh fish. Sat on the terrace with a view of the water, which made the whole lunch feel a bit special.

Came for the match on the big screens, ended up staying for the food. The fish chowder was proper—creamy, plenty of fish, not just potato filler. Chicken salad was fresh too, decent size for the price. Place was busy but we got our order quick enough. Solid spot if you're after a bite with the game on.

Food was proper tasty, but the service was all over the place—wrong drink came out, sauces whipped away, then rushed to pay. Would still go back for the food though.

Grabbed lunch here during a busy afternoon. The meal deal is decent for the price, no complaints. Had the lentil soup, hit the spot on a cold day. Service was quick, in and out in under 15 minutes. Not fancy, but it does the job when you need something fast and healthy.

Decent spot in Cork for a drink. Bar had plenty of room and the staff were friendly enough. Seating area was comfortable too. Wouldn't mind stopping by again.

Bit of a wait to get served, but the sandwich itself was solid. Good bread, decent filling. Place feels more like a casual cafe than a 4-star hotel spot, which caught me off guard. Fine for a quick bite if you're in the area, just don't expect anything fancy.
