The puddings are fantastic. They had a lovely port on the menu that paired beautifully with the sticky toffee.

The open mic night was a nice surprise. Some really good local singers, a few covers but mostly original stuff. The owner was friendly, chatted with everyone between sets. Made for a relaxed evening.

Such a nice spot to catch up with friends! The decor is modern and tasteful, really cosy. We ended up staying for ages just chatting.

Nice spot right on the docks. The view of the harbour from the terrace is really lovely.

The filter coffee here is a bit hit or miss. Had it last week and it was noticeably weaker than usual, lacked that proper punch. Still drinkable, just not their best brew.

A lovely spot to get some work done. The garden out back is a peaceful spot to sit, and the staff are very friendly. My only note is that the chairs could be a bit more comfortable for a longer stay.

The staff were really friendly. I had a coffee and a white chocolate muffin, which was nice. Just a small thing - our table wasn't quite wiped down when we got there, but it was sorted quickly. A comfortable spot for a quiet coffee.

Decent food for the price. Classic, no-frills spot. The fish and chips portion was generous, though the chips were a bit soft for my liking. Solid choice for a straightforward meal.

The loaded chips were the star for me – crispy outside, fluffy inside, and that cheese sauce was just right. Latte was smooth too, a really good one. Panini was solid, but those chips stole the show.

Cosy spot with a fireplace, ideal in winter. Staff were pleasant and efficient. Tried the outdoor patio for a late lunch with my dog on a warm day - very convenient. Solid for a quick, relaxed bite.

Tried the Gardeners Afternoon Tea. Sandwiches, scones, cakes - the spread was huge. Honestly, for what you pay, the portion size is really generous. Left feeling very full, which is always a good sign.

Stopped in for a coffee and a pastry. The place just has a nice, cozy vibe, feels like a proper local spot. Staff were friendly, no rush. Good for a quiet moment.

Been coming here for years and the omelette is always spot on. Just the right amount of fluffy, never greasy. That's why I keep coming back.

The corned beef pie was so good! The pastry was perfect, really flaky. My flat white was nice too. Just wish the side salad had a bit more going on, it was pretty plain. Still, a solid spot for a casual catch-up with friends.

A nice little spot inside the museum. The food was pretty good, and the service was decent. We got the scones to go, which was a nice touch. A solid choice for a light bite.

Staff were super friendly even though it was packed. Our server remembered our drink order and checked in just the right amount. Made a hectic Friday dinner feel relaxed.

Decent spot for a pre-show bite. The portions are generous, which is just what you want before an event. My pasta was pretty good, though the sauce was a touch heavy. Got us sorted without a rush.

Portions are huge, which I appreciate. The Salmoncrema was a proper meal on its own. The Scoff was also generous. Good value for what you pay.

Good location in the Milburngate Centre. Coffee is top-notch, food was decent. Service was quick, which is key for a business lunch. Both indoor and outdoor seating available. Solid spot for a straightforward meal.

A quiet spot by the river, good for a weekday breakfast meeting. Had the pancakes with bacon and syrup. Solid choice, service was efficient.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made for a pleasant visit. It's a nice spot for a relaxed meal. The service was decent, though it did get a bit slow towards the end.

The bakery section is the star here. Grabbed a couple of their homemade buns to go - still warm, with a lovely soft crumb and a slight sweetness. The cakes looked fantastic too, but I was too full to try one.

The Ukrainian breakfast is a solid choice. Scrambled eggs on toast with their hash browns hit the spot.

The big breakfast is a proper feed for the price. Two eggs, bacon, sausage, the works. Really hits the spot. Portions are generous, you definitely get what you pay for.

Staff were friendly and made space for us even though it was busy. A decent spot with a relaxed vibe, and they’re dog-friendly which is nice. The food was pretty good, though the service was a touch slow.

Been coming here for years. It's a proper local spot, not a chain. Coffee's always solid, and you can get a decent lunch without breaking the bank. The place has a nice, relaxed feel to it.

A chilled spot with really nice staff. Their loose leaf tea selection was impressive, and I had a pot with the Eggs Benedict - a solid pairing. The cakes on display looked fantastic, though I was too full to try one this time.

The classic English breakfast here is solid. Sausage and bacon are good quality, the beans aren't too sweet. Toast comes on its own plate, which is a nice touch. The black pudding was a bit dry for my taste, but everything else hit the spot.
