The lunch special filet mignon was cooked just right. The fried rice is the real star, though. So much garlic and egg in it. That's what I keep thinking about.

Been coming here for years. It's my go-to spot to unwind with a beer. The patio is perfect on a nice evening, just a comfortable, no-fuss place.

The fried oyster po'boy was spot on, so crispy! The staff even helped us pick sauces, which made sharing with friends easy.

The stuffed BBQ shrimp po'boy was a solid choice. But the key lime pie really stole the show for me. That homemade graham cracker crust and the real whipped cream on top were just spot on. Funky place, too.

Grabbed takeout po-boys and blue crabs. The shrimp in my po-boy tasted really fresh, which I always look for. The blue crabs from the market section were seasoned just right, not overly salty. Portions are on the smaller side, but the quality of the ingredients stood out. Solid spot for a quick, fresh meal.

The seafood was fresh and tasty, and the prices felt fair. I liked how comfortable the seats were.

The vegan cheese here is so good, my non-vegan friends didn't even notice! We grabbed a table on the dog-friendly patio by the lake. Perfect for a casual hangout, though the crust was a bit too chewy for me.

Great vibe and the staff were super nice. The food was all solid. The wine list had some interesting local options that paired well with our meal. Glad we stopped by.

The fried pickles and jalapenos are the move here. The crunch is fantastic, and the batter has a really good flavor to it. Could eat a whole basket myself.

Solid craft beer list, and the vibe is super chill. I grabbed a burger and a local IPA on the patio – just what I needed after a long week. A nice, easy spot for a low-key dinner.

My go-to for seafood in Slidell. The platters are massive, honestly more seafood than fries. Everything is fried just right and well-seasoned. It's got that friendly, local feel I keep coming back for.

The atmosphere at Desi Vega's is top-notch, with live music enhancing the dining experience. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, making it a great place for a night out.

The owner's personal greeting is a nice touch, but honestly, I'm just here for the food. The grilled salmon was cooked perfectly, flaky and moist. The lemon butter sauce was simple but really brought it all together. That's what I'll remember.

Christine was our server, really helpful with suggestions. The wine pairing was solid, but I was watching the tab and it added up quicker than I expected for what we got.

This restaurant offers a beautiful atmosphere with amazing food. The staff is attentive and friendly, making the dining experience even better.
