The beer garden is such a sunny, colourful spot! Perfect for a chilled afternoon with friends. We spent ages just chatting over drinks. Could do with a few more shaded tables when it gets really hot, but it's a lovely little oasis.

The food here is fantastic, especially the curries! The service is friendly and unobtrusive, making for a great dining experience.

Great spot to catch up with friends! The ale was spot on and the sports screens are top-notch. Grace behind the bar was lovely - really attentive and made sure our glasses were never empty. Perfect for a chilled group hangout.

Stumbled in for lunch. The laksa was spot on, really rich broth. Menu's got a lot of options from different parts of Malaysia, which is cool. Decent portion for the price.

Small spot, good for a quick lunch. Pizza was solid, thin crust and fresh toppings. Marcio was helpful and kept things moving. Decent value for the area.

Lots of veggie options! The South Indian dishes were a highlight. Perfect for a group with different diets.

Gemma sorted out a small mix-up with my order super fast. Just what you need when you're in a rush for lunch. Really appreciate staff who actually fix things on the spot.

The duck pancake was nice, and I appreciated the fresh water chestnuts in it. A good change from the usual.

Cosy spot with nice wooden details. Tables are actually pretty spacious, which was a plus. Just stopped in for a coffee and ended up staying a while.

Proper local pub, full of character. The landlord's a gem, really knows his stuff. Good selection of beers and real ales on. Just the sort of place you hope to find.

Manish is such a warm host. You can feel his passion when he talks about the dishes. Stopping in for a quick chat over a bite always feels nice.

Popped in for lunch, the spicy burger was really good. The gluten-free bun held up well, which is nice. Unlimited coffee refills kept me going. The 'saucy wall' is a fun little touch.

Been coming here for years. Their Italian pastries are spot on, just like the ones I had in Milan. Always grab a coffee and a cornetto on my way to work. Friendly staff too.

The bottomless brunch is a solid deal. I really liked the vibe here – the high ceilings and big windows let in loads of light, and the tables are spaced out nicely. Makes for a relaxed Sunday.

The breakfast ingredients are so fresh. Really appreciate the quality.

My first visit to The Gate, Chorleywood. We were offered drinks immediately after being seated and these arrived quickly. Plenty of staff who were very attentive, despite all tables being taken. Good choices on the fixed price lunch menu and food was delicious. Very good value for money. Won't hesitate to recommend or revisit this restaurant.
