Butter chicken was solid, garlic naan fresh out of the tandoor. Staff actually checked if the spice level was okay for us — nice touch. Place was busy but we got our food quick enough. Fine for a no-fuss dinner if you're in the area.

The mixed grill for three was massive. Meat came out juicy, properly charred. Definitely enough for three, maybe even four. We went with a group and it worked well. No complaints about the cooking. Solid spot if you're after grilled stuff.

The lamb was really well done and full of flavor. Service was attentive but not pushy, which I appreciated. Nice spot for a relaxed dinner.

Loved sitting outside here — the view over Bordeaux Platz is really nice and calm. Just a few minutes from Ostbahnhof, so easy to get to. I had a simple salad and the greens tasted properly fresh, which I always appreciate. Nothing fancy, but it worked well for a relaxed lunch. Maybe a bit pricey for what you get, but fine.

The lunch buffet here is only €7.50 and honestly that’s a steal. Lots of options, everything tasted fresh. I went for the first time today and was surprised by how much I got for the price. Definitely a solid spot if you’re in the area and hungry.

Been coming here for a while now, always stop by when I'm around Marienplatz. Seafood pasta is still as good as the first time I tried it. Place has a nice vibe, not too stiff, you can actually relax. Only thing is it gets busy around lunch, but that's probably a good sign.

The orange tiramisu was good, different from the usual one. Price was fair for the portion, too. Worth grabbing if you're already there.

Came here with a couple of friends for a quick bite and honestly the pizza was solid. Prices are fair too, which is always a plus. It’s not super spacious though, and it gets loud fast. Fine if you’re up for a casual hang, but don’t expect a chill dinner vibe. 😅

Been coming here for a while now. The older bartender still remembers my usual order, that's why I keep going back. Place gets busy but never feels touristy. Hours are decent too, later than most spots around. Not the cheapest pint in town, but you pay for the atmosphere.

The Adana kebab was decent, though the meat came out a bit dry. The Turkish tea and baklava saved the meal for me. Service friendly but not the quickest.

Nice spot right by the river, beer garden is lovely. Staff were friendly enough. Pizza was decent but the crust came out a bit soft for my liking.

The spinach borek was fresh and flaky, really well made. Coban salad had crisp veggies too. Nice to see an English menu, made ordering easier.

Tried this place on a whim—pasta was fresh and cooked just right, reminded me of Italy. Staff were friendly too. Solid spot.

The gambas al ajillo were the reason I came and they didn’t disappoint. Garlicky, plenty of oil, good bread to soak it up. Some other small plates were a bit hit or miss, but that one dish carried the meal. Prices okay for the portion size. Didn’t care much about the vibe, just ate.

Curries were a bit oily but the waiter caught it and offered a new one. Nice spot, though not cheap. Fine for a casual dinner if you're in the area.

The food was delicious and beautifully presented, making it a feast for the eyes as well. The cozy atmosphere of the older building adds to its charm.

Restaurant in Hotel Bayerischer Hof Munich

The pork knuckle was the standout. Crispy skin, tender inside, proper seasoning. Ate it with the potato dumplings and sauerkraut. Portion size is generous, maybe too much for one person. The schnitzel was decent too, though the breading could've been crunchier. Came here on a busy night, food still arrived quick. That's what matters.

The veggie options here are actually decent, which surprised me for Munich. Andrea at the front was super nice and made sure my dish came out the way I wanted. Solid spot.

The filetpfanne and dumplings were solid, really hearty stuff. Watching the bartender tap a fresh wooden keg was a nice touch. Just don't expect fast service when it's full, we waited a bit.

The all-day breakfast menu saved me—showed up around 2pm and still got eggs and pancakes. The back seating area is what I remember most though. Nice design, comfortable chairs, not too loud even when it filled up. Good spot if you want to sit and take your time. Food was fine, nothing crazy, but the space itself made it worth it.

The food was solid and the vibe is nice, but service gets slow when they're packed. Took forever to flag someone down for the bill. Still, I'd eat here again.

The way they handle guests here is something else. You can tell they actually care, not just going through the motions. My pasta had this unexpected citrus note that caught me off guard, in a good way. Felt like a proper Italian place that respects the food. I'll be back for sure.

Went for a weekday lunch and grabbed a seat by the window. The pasta was cooked right, nothing fancy but solid. I had a glass of their house red with the tagliatelle—decent pairing, not too heavy. Place was quiet, easy to talk. Service kept it simple, no rushing. Fine spot if you're in the area and want Italian without the fuss.

Can’t beat the coffee price around here. Always packed with students, so it gets a bit loud, but fine for a quick chat.

The wine list here is solid, and the staff actually know what they’re talking about. Pours are a bit small for what you pay, though. Quality makes up for it, mostly. I’d come back if I’m in the mood for a decent glass without the fuss.

The house specialty was solid — flavors felt really authentic. Fresh beer went down easy with it. Good spot if you're hanging with friends.

Came here for brunch last weekend and honestly the terrace alone is worth it. Big, open, not one of those cramped setups where you're elbowing the next table. Food was fresh and light, exactly what I needed. Portion size was decent for the price too. Bonus: the shop downstairs is fun to wander through after you eat.

The gulaschsuppe was excellent and I felt safe with the gluten-free options clearly marked. Portions were generous too.

The pho ga was really good—broth had depth and the chicken was tender. Delivery came quicker than I expected, which I appreciated. I also tried the shrimp rolls, but they tasted a bit fishy to me. Probably my own fault for not checking what was in them. Would order the pho again for sure.
