Been coming here for years, it's our local. The real ales are always spot on, a proper selection. Nice and quiet on a Tuesday afternoon, just how we like it. A proper village pub.

Nice spot by the river, the viaduct view is lovely on a sunny day. Had a pint and the ploughman's lunch. The portion was decent for the price, felt like a proper pub meal.

Popped in for a coffee. The staff were so friendly and the vibe was just really nice. A lovely little village spot.

Staff were lovely, really friendly. The timing between courses was spot on. Had a lovely wine and the food was tremendous. We'll be back.

The coffee here is easily the best I've found in Torquay. Had it with a slice of their homemade carrot cake, which was still lovely and moist even though we popped in quite late. Staff were really nice about it.

Been coming here for lunch for years now. It's the staff that keep me coming back - Sarah and Tom always remember my usual order and have a quick chat. Makes it feel like a proper local spot.

Great for a quick lunch. The weekly special was a solid choice, came out fast and hit the spot. Just what I needed. Cozy spot with a good bar selection too.

Sourdough pizza is a solid quick bite. Thin and crispy base, still filling. Had the ham and pineapple with chilli flakes. Hit the spot. Good for a speedy lunch.

The lunchtime stew is a solid choice. Hearty and flavourful, a good break from the usual cafe options. Service was efficient, which I appreciate during a working day. Portion was decent for the price.

The cream tea was lovely, especially the warm scones. However, for the price, I did expect a slightly bigger portion of clotted cream and jam. Still a nice spot by the water.

Got a table as a walk-in on a busy Friday, which was nice. Service was attentive throughout. The menu has some interesting topping choices – I went for the truffle mushroom pizza. It was pretty good, though the base was a touch softer than I'd prefer. A decent spot.

It's down in the basement, but don't let that put you off. Found it to be a really calm, clean little spot. Perfect for a quiet lunch away from the bustle.

Chef John made my daughter some lovely homemade chicken nuggets. The staff were really friendly and the wine list had some nice options for the adults.

Been craving Polish food for ages. The owner's so nice, and the homemade spread with the bread was a lovely touch. The decor really makes you feel like you're back in Poland. Honestly, the best I've had here. Portions are generous too, definitely worth the price.

This place is perfect for celebrations! The cocktail menu is impressive, and the food is well-cooked and tasty. The portions are generous, making it a great value for the price.

The food’s always tasty and looks good on the plate. Had the grilled salmon again—just as nice as last time. A reliable spot when you don’t want to overthink dinner.

The Sunday roast was solid. Went for the lamb, which was cooked just right, and the cauliflower cheese was a nice touch. Portions are definitely generous here, no complaints on that front.

Stopped in for a late lunch. The goat cheese salad was fresh, and the burger was cooked just right. A good, simple spot when you're not looking for anything fancy.

The duty manager was really welcoming. Staff were brilliant, made me feel looked after. Good customer service, that's what stands out.

The lamb donner and chicken shish are always fresh and the portions are generous. I keep coming back for that.

Nice spot for a quick business lunch. Coffee was solid, staff were quick and pleasant. Prices are reasonable for the location. The atmosphere is calm, good for a working conversation.

Been coming here for years and the fish is still the star. The batter is so light and crisp, and the fish itself is always fresh. The chips are decent too.

Love the 80s tunes here. The burger was juicy and the fries were spot on. My only note - the wine list is pretty basic, just a couple of reds and whites. Still, a solid spot for a casual bite and a beer.

A nice, relaxed pub. The staff were friendly and it was good to know they allow outside food. We had a quiet afternoon here, and the comfortable seating made it easy to stay for a while.
