The scones are proper—best I’ve had around here, that lemon curd really does it. Tea list is long, but the dessert plate ran a bit sweet for me.

The carrot cake with my cappuccino was the highlight — moist, not too sweet. Sat outside in the sun, pretty chill morning.

Stopped by for a quick dinner during a city break. Food came out fast, which I appreciated. Had the satay and nasi goreng — decent portions, flavors were solid. Staff friendly enough, but they started wiping down tables and stacking chairs while I was still eating. Slightly annoying, but overall a practical spot if you're in a hurry.

The building itself is really something—old Deventer charm, high ceilings, that historic feel. But the upkeep is rough around the edges. Chairs are worn, paint's peeling in spots. You can tell budget cuts hit this place hard. Still, I'd sit here again for the atmosphere alone. Just don't expect everything to look polished.

The breakfast here is a standout. The new à la carte format is a nice touch, and everything arrives fresh and hot. The vitamin shot is a fun way to start the day.

Coffee and bagel were solid. Got the smoked salmon one, plenty of filling. Place was packed but the food came quick enough. Would grab another one if I'm in the area.

The light in here is just right—soft, warm, not that harsh fluorescent stuff. We grabbed a table by the window and stayed longer than planned. Coffee was genuinely good, one of the better cups I've had around here. Burger and fries did the job too. Staff seemed happy to be there, which always makes a difference. Slightly busy but still comfortable.

The cheese and sausage platter was solid, especially for the price. Good craft beer on tap to go with it. Service was fine, nothing special, but I'd grab that again.

The tasting menu here is something else. Staff were on point the whole night. Room was quiet and big too, but honestly the food's the main reason I'd come back.

Had dinner here with friends — mussels and satay were solid, plus a fresh green salad on the side. Service was really nice, even with our group being a bit loud. Portions are big for the price. 😊

The panini and cappuccino were spot on, and the lounge chairs out front are perfect for a city-center break. Service was really friendly too.

We had a burger, pork belly and salmon. All of them were excellent. I also had curry soup which was a bit too salty but good nonetheless. It took a little longer for the food to arrive, but they were pretty busy that day. Portions were quite big. All in all, a great dinner.

Came here on a weekday and tried their daily menu. Got a nice little amuse-bouche first, which was a cute touch. Portion size was solid for the price, and the dish of the day was really tasty. Would be a great spot to bring a friend for a casual catch-up. Maybe a bit busy around noon, but nothing crazy. 😊

Right by the station, so it's convenient if you're catching a train. Had a coffee and a sandwich—bread was fresh, which is the main thing. Service was quick enough for a quick stop. Nothing fancy, but it does the job. Prices are fair for what you get. I'd stop by again if I'm in the area.

Coffee was solid, staff friendly enough. Place looks a bit tired, could use a refresh. Fine for a quick stop if you're in the area, wouldn't go out of my way. Functional, nothing more.

Only tried the restaurant, not the hotel. Menu looked promising and the setting is really nice, but the lamb came out overcooked and tough. Shame, because the rest was decent enough. Still had a pleasant evening, just wish they'd been more careful with the meat. Might give it another go sometime.

Heerlijk gegeten! The food was wonderful and the service divine. Joyce was great!!.

The high tea here was such a nice find. The presentation alone shows how much care they put into it, everything came out looking beautiful and tasted fresh. Honestly a solid gift idea for someone too. I’d go back just for that experience again.

Cozy spot, busy but that’s part of the charm. Breakfast combos were tasty, though service was a bit slow after ordering. Still, I’d come back for the vibe.

The vegetarian tasting menu really surprised me—each dish had so much flavor. Wine pairings were spot on too. Staff knew their stuff without being pushy. Only tiny thing: the pacing felt a bit rushed between courses. But honestly, that candlelit corner by the window made the whole evening feel softer somehow. 🌿

The burgers are properly juicy, good seasoning too. Sweet potato chips hit the spot. Service was quick, no complaints there. Solid spot for a casual bite.

The bread was still warm and the carpaccio melted nicely. Had it with an evening coffee instead of wine — worked better than I expected.
