Lovely suite, very peaceful. The dinner service was the highlight though. Had the roasted squash risotto - really well executed. A couple of the local wine pairings were spot on.

First time here and the vegan options really stood out. The seitan burger was actually satisfying, not just a token veggie patty. Nice to see a place that puts some thought into it.

Been coming here for years, and the lunch deal is still spot on. Two courses for under &pound;12, and the portions are decent. Everything always arrives hot, which is a big plus for me. The chocolate brownie is a proper treat.

The Sunday roast was solid. Went for the lamb, which was cooked just right, and the cauliflower cheese was a nice touch. Portions are definitely generous here, no complaints on that front.

This is the jewel in the Wetherspoon&rsquo;s crown. If you don&rsquo;t know about Wetherspoon&rsquo;s pubs, restaurants and hotels, they are budget friendly,  no frills establishments many in repurposed banks, shops, high street offices etc. This offering in Exeter is a little different though. The setting, in quite extensive well maintained gardens, is a large old house that used to belong in turn to various professional people. The building has been remodelled and added to over the years. The spectacular cast iron orangery where you can dine from breakfast to dinner time was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the Great Western Railways chief engineer in Victorian times. It was originally part of the main building of Exeter university but was moved here many years ago. Food was up to the usual standard at Wetherspoons and served on the distinctive crockery which was specially designed for the company. My youngest daughter and I ate here several times over a three day trip to view the university. We ate both breakfast and dinner here. I thoroughly recommend having at least a drink or preferably something to eat here if you are in Exeter.☕️ A tip is that your tea, coffee or hot chocolate is bottomless and at the time of writing was only 1.81 GBP per cup.

The atmosphere at this restaurant is truly lovely, making it a perfect spot for celebrations. The staff were amazing and the food was perfection!

The pub has a great historic feel, really adds to the experience. Sat by the old fireplace with a pint of their Abbot Ale, which was spot on. Just a nice, relaxed place for a drink.

The restaurant was very busy when we arrived for our booking and so we had to wait around 15 minutes for our table.  There was plenty of variety at the carvery with several meats and lots of vegetables. The food was delicious and the service was friendly.

The carvery&#39;s a good deal with the Blue Light Card. The dining area feels spacious and relaxed, which was nice.

Nice bright pub, feels clean. Staff were friendly and cleared tables quickly even when it was busy. That&rsquo;s a plus.
