The Belgian cappuccino was the standout for me. Staff actually took time to explain the menu without rushing. Place felt a bit cramped though, tables close together. Fine for a quick coffee stop, not somewhere to linger for hours.

We came here for a family thing and honestly the service was the highlight. Attentive without hovering, which I always appreciate. Food was solid too, especially the starters. Just felt a bit pricey for what you get, but for a celebration it worked fine. Wouldn’t mind going back for a casual dinner though.

Steak was solid, cooked just right. Sides were big enough to share honestly. Place gets packed fast so booking ahead is smart. Staff were nice even when it got hectic. Nothing fancy but did the job for a casual dinner.

The ice cream here is genuinely good — you can tell they use proper ingredients. I had the pistachio and it was creamy without being too sweet. Staff got me through the line quickly, which I appreciated since it was busy. Only downside: the seating area is tiny, so don't plan on lingering. Fine for a quick stop though.

Been here a few times now, and the outdoor seating keeps me coming back. They hand out blankets when it gets chilly, which is a nice touch you don't see everywhere. Prices are fair for what you get. Place looks good inside too, but honestly, I just like sitting outside with a drink.

The scampi croquettes were spot on, really crispy outside and juicy inside. Chocolate mousse for dessert was a proper finish. Main was okay, though the beef stew came out a bit dry and the fries needed more crunch.

Nice spot for a quiet dinner. The staff didn't hover, just checked in when needed. Had the grilled fish, cooked right, not dry. Place wasn't too loud either, which I appreciate. We'll probably come back sometime. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.

A livelyrestaurant in an old and characterful building and with a busy, friendly atmosphere. Excellent service, delicious uncomplicated food and wine and charming hosts, obviously very popular with locals, a real find.

Just a few doors down from Thiriez. The daily special was sliced chicken with tarragon – so simple but full of flavor, really hit the spot. The rum baba was a perfect little finish. Felt like a cozy home-cooked meal, and the bill was a nice surprise.

The owner picks fresh mint from their own garden for the mojitos. You can really taste the difference in the freshness of the ingredients. It's a lovely spot for a drink, though service did slow down a bit during the busy Music Day event.

The langoustines with beurre blanc were spot on. Sauce had that nice acidity, cut through the richness. Place is small and tidy, staff kept checking in without hovering. Maybe a bit pricey for what you get, but I'd come back for those langoustines.

Stopped by for a late breakfast. Pancakes were solid — fresh off the griddle, topped with ice cream and whipped cream. Kind of a sweet overload but I wasn’t complaining. Staff was friendly enough. Place has a nice relaxed vibe, nothing fancy. Wouldn’t mind coming back if I’m in the area again.

The shrimp croquettes were the highlight for me—crispy outside, really creamy inside. Fries were solid too, exactly what you want after walking around Nieuwpoort-Stad. Ordering with the beeper thing felt a bit impersonal but it kept things moving fast. Wouldn't mind going back just for those croquettes again.

Went for the 9-course dinner. Pacing was spot on—never felt rushed or waiting too long between plates. Staff let us breathe between courses, which I appreciated. Solid choice if you've got time to just sit back and enjoy the evening. Nothing fancy, just a well-run kitchen.
