First time trying their set menu and I'm impressed! So many options for each course, the lamb was cooked just right. Great for a group booking, everything ran smoothly.

Love that it still feels like a proper pub. The atmosphere is spot on - welcoming and classic, not too casual. Perfect for a full meal or just a pint and a snack.

No booking on a Friday, but they found us a table. The lamb curry was the real deal – rich, tender, and a huge portion. My plate was still warm when I finished. Solid spot.

Hannah's service was efficient and friendly. The fajitas were good, though the portion felt a bit small for the price.

The Brewhouse Bird sharing box is decent for a group. Good amount of food for the price. Service was a bit slow on a busy Friday night, but they handled it.

Victoria was super attentive even though the place was packed on Valentine's. My pasta came out quicker than expected and was really tasty. Good vibe.

Great spot in Cardiff Bay. Staff were really on it and found us a table even though we hadn't booked. The wine list had some nice local options too.

The food is always spot on. We're here every month. The wine list has a nice little selection that pairs well with the menu.

The portions are huge, honestly. You get a proper plateful for the money. Staff are friendly, they remember you. It's just a nice, reliable spot.

The spot at the end of the pier is lovely, really peaceful. Had a decent lunch here with a pretty good view of the sea. The fish and chips were fine, though the chips were a little soft for my liking.

Great spot near the cricket ground. The cask ales are spot on, and the table service is a nice touch even if you're just drinking. Friendly staff who know their beers. The cricket stuff on the walls is interesting to check out.

Stayed a few nights for work. The room was snug and comfortable, nice bedding. Breakfast was good, plenty of parking. The house red by the glass was surprisingly decent, a proper start to the day.

The staff were just so lovely. They noticed my water was low before I did, and checked in without being overbearing. That kind of attentive service is a real treat. Made the whole evening feel relaxed and easy.

The New Mill is a really well designed and spacious restaurant, the staff are very pleasant and helpful. They have a good menu and the food is excellent. A very enjoyable and comfortable experience. I have eaten there many times and the different people I have taken there share the same opinion.

Great beer garden out the back, really comes into its own on a sunny afternoon. Solid choice of local ales. Staff are a friendly bunch, which makes a difference. A proper local.

The lamb chops were cooked just right, juicy and full of flavour. The mushroom dish was also a standout, really fresh and well-seasoned. Good selection for veggies too.

Got a walk-in table, which was lucky. The place was packed and buzzing, everyone seemed happy. Felt like being invited into someone's family home for the night. Really cosy.

Was here on a busy carnival day. Jon was great - super quick and friendly. Got my order sorted fast so I could get back to the crowds. Exactly what you need when you're in a rush.

We had a lovely meal served in a timely fashion by a great guy called Neil who was very attentive and was excellent with my grandson

Always come here for coffee with friends. The staff are so friendly, it just feels like a nice place to hang out. The panini was good, but honestly, the vibe is the main thing. Perfect for a catch-up.

The weekday set menu is a solid deal. Went for the beef cheek – it was fall-apart tender, really rich. Could have done with a touch more seasoning, but the flavour was deep. The accompanying mash was smooth. That's what I'm here for.

The wine list had some nice options for a Saturday lunch. Food was beautifully cooked and presented, made for a relaxed afternoon.

Dan was a great server, really attentive without being overbearing. He knew the menu well and gave honest advice on portion sizes, which helped us order just right. The food came out quickly too. Good service makes a meal feel like better value.

The staff noticed I'd left my scarf at the bar and brought it over without me even asking. That little bit of thoughtfulness really stood out.

The doughnuts are really fresh, and I love that they're not overly sweet. The shakes are a nice touch, too. I just wish there were a few more options with whole grains or something a bit lighter.

The draught beers and ciders are a nice selection, all reasonably priced. My pint was poured perfectly, really fresh and crisp. Just what I was after.
