The service was lovely, I asked them to help me with a surprise for my partner and they obliged, very gracious and sophisticated. Well impressed.

Tucked away in the old city, easy to miss. Tasting menu was solid—pheasant tender, mushroom ravioli packed with flavor. Service felt a bit detached, but the food carried it. Fair for the price.

The Flemish stew here is proper comfort food — meat so tender it falls apart with just a fork. Portion size was decent for the price, which honestly surprised me given how touristy the area can get. Place was busy but we still got our food fast. Cozy inside, like eating at someone's grandma's place.

The shrimp croquettes were really good—crispy outside, soft inside. I had the sole too, cooked simply but properly. Felt like honest, traditional Belgian cooking without any fuss. Place is warm and low-key, which I liked. Only thing is it’s a bit tight for space, but that didn’t bother me much. Fresh ingredients, you can tell.

Stopped by for lunch on a weekday. Place is small but comfortable. Had the mushroom dishes—fresh, cooked properly, though nothing inventive about the preparation. Staff were friendly and handled English without issue, which made ordering easy. Fine for a quick meal if you're in the area.

The cocktails are still solid every time I stop by. Food's fine, nothing crazy, but it works for a quick bite.

Came here with the family for a casual lunch. Service was on point, not hovering over us or anything. Food tasted fresh, well-prepared. Nothing fancy but solid.

Been coming here for a while now, and the meter-long nacho platter still gets me every time. It’s just a solid sharing dish, loaded enough for two people. Staff’s always on top of things too, never had to wave anyone down. Not the cheapest spot, but you get what you pay for.

Stumbled into this place looking for a quick pint and ended up staying way longer than planned. The beer list is solid, lots of local stuff on tap. Interior is full of random antiques, feels like drinking in someone's eccentric grandpa's attic. Cozy in a weird way. Only downside, it got pretty crowded later and hard to find a seat.

The boulet à la liégeoise was solid, that sweet-savory sauce really does it. Hazelnut crème brûlée on the side, good call. Staff looked like they actually liked being there, which is always nice to see. Place was pretty busy but the vibe was fine. Maybe a bit loud by the end, but whatever.

Went for dinner last week and grabbed a seat near the open kitchen. Watching the two chefs work their station is genuinely entertaining—everything’s made to order, no shortcuts. Natural wine list pairs nicely with the menu, though I’d say the pour is a bit on the smaller side. Still, it’s the kind of place you settle into for the evening. Casual, unpretentious, and the food holds up its end.

The menu’s a bit pricey, but they run discounts often enough. Free appetizers get old after a while, but the mains and the wine list are solid. I usually stick to what I know here, and it hasn’t let me down. Good spot for a relaxed dinner without fuss.

Sushi boat for two was generous, and the sake pairing worked nicely. Cozy spot, though it gets busy.

Smoked duck and ribs were solid. Staff took time to explain the menu in English, which helped. Portions are big, come hungry.

The cod with mashed potatoes and cheese was spot on, really well cooked. Fish croquettes were decent too. Tripel Karmeliet on the side made it better.

Kalypta is a hidden gem in Leuven with a vibrant atmosphere and great music. The food is not only tasty but also beautifully presented, making it a wonderful dining experience.

Big portions and pretty quick service. Nothing fancy but it worked well for our group. The pasta was decent, maybe slightly overpriced for what you get.

The tagliatelle salmon was the standout. Fish tasted properly fresh, pasta cooked right. Price felt fair for what you get. Service took a while but I didn't really care. I'd order that dish again.

The menu changes often, which I love. Food was inventive and well-prepared. Cozy interior, felt like a real local spot. Service knew their stuff and explained everything nicely.

The beef here is seriously good. We came with a group of friends and everyone kept stealing bites off each other’s plates. Service was super friendly too, never had to wait long for anything. Only thing is it got a bit loud later in the evening, but honestly that just added to the vibe. Would come back for sure. 😊

The steak was cooked properly, decent seasoning. Construction outside is a bit annoying but whatever. Food's the main thing here.

Decent spot for Italian in Lier. Pizza was well-prepared and service stayed prompt even when it got busy. Pretty good overall.

Been coming here for years, and that chicken fillet with mushroom sauce still hits the spot. Staff actually remember you, which is rare in this city. Had a decent glass of red with it tonight, nothing fancy but it did the job. Place gets a bit busy around eight, but that's on me for showing up late.
