Nice spot for a family dinner. The staff were really attentive, which was appreciated. I did notice the grilled salmon was a bit overdone for my liking, but the side salad was fresh and crisp.

Decided to try their Sunday roast. The portion was huge - the plate was loaded with meat, potatoes, and all the trimmings. Honestly couldn't finish it all. For the price, it's a proper feed. The burger was decent too, but the roast is the one.

Lunch menu steak and ale pie was incredible. Flaky pastry, rich filling. Honestly one of the best. Dinner's rib-eye with peppercorn sauce is fine, but that pie is the star.

Lovely welcome and the room had a fun, quirky feel. Breakfast was tasty, but the portions were a bit on the small side for the price. Great location right in the centre of Ely, though.

The hot chocolate here is exactly what you need. It's thick, not too sweet, and has a proper dark chocolate flavour that warms you right up. Just a solid, no-fuss drink.

The burgers are reliably good here, always fresh and hot. I'm particularly fond of the Chicken Royal – it's consistently piping hot and has a lot more flavour than the one I've tried at other places. A solid choice for a casual meal.

Been coming here for years, and the garden view of the cathedral is still the main draw for me. It’s just a reliably peaceful spot to unwind with a drink.

The small plates are great for sharing, and the portions are generous. The seating was a bit tight for our group though.

Nice bright space, interesting art on the walls. Had the grilled salmon lunch set here. Fish was cooked just right, not dry at all. A solid spot for a casual bite.

Lovely view of the cathedral from the terrace on a sunny day. Had a coffee and a slice of their carrot cake - it was moist and not too sweet. A nice, quiet spot for a little break.

Coffee's reliably strong and rich. Booked one of the little huts outside, which was a nice spot to settle in. The service was friendly and made the whole thing very easy. A pleasant, comfortable visit.

Great value for money at the Cuckoo! The food was lovely, and the staff, including Tabitha and George, were very welcoming and attentive.

The service and food were excellent. The very one problem we had was our booking was not logged with the restaurant even though I had two confirmation emails from the Fork to say our booking was confirmed. Clearly it was not

Abbie was an exceptional server during our visit. She was friendly and attentive, making our dining experience enjoyable. The food was nice, and the ambiance was perfect for a lovely evening.

The caponata pizza was a nice surprise. A pretty good combination of flavours. The slices are decently sized, though it was a bit busy when we went.

This restaurant has a rich history and a lovely ambiance. The food was flavorful, and the wine pairing was excellent. It's a great spot for a casual yet classy dining experience.

Really cosy village pub, perfect for a catch-up. The beef pie was so tender, we ended up ordering another one to share!

The burgers are a bit pricey at full price, but I caught a promo offer this time. Made it feel like a proper deal for what you get.

Came for brunch, got the eggs Benedict and halloumi sticks. The halloumi portion was generous for the price, really filled me up. Eggs were good too. Sat outside, it was a bit chilly but they had blankets.

Service was quick, which was perfect for a work lunch. Ryan and Kylie were really friendly. I had the grilled salmon, and their suggestion for a crisp white wine to pair with it was spot on. Made the whole thing feel a bit more relaxed.

The bartender really knew his stuff and gave us a great beer recommendation for our group. Made the whole night easier!

The space has this lovely, cosy feel to it. It’s the kind of place where you can just sink into a chair with a coffee and not feel rushed. They’re dog-friendly too, which is a nice touch.

Service was really good even when they were packed. Our server checked in just the right amount, not too much but we never had to wait for anything. Made a difference.

The server was so nice and gave me a couple of suggestions. I went with the truffle pasta she mentioned and honestly, it was the right call. Really made the meal for me.
