Came here on a quiet weekday night. The Alentejo food is proper, no fuss. Had the house wine with my meal, went down easy. Staff were patient with my broken Portuguese, which I appreciated. Place was calm, not crowded. Solid spot if you want real local cooking without any tourist nonsense.

Been coming here for years. Pastel de nata still hits the spot, and the chocolate cake holds up. Prices crept up a bit, but I keep coming back.

Unique Restaurant  tucked away in Portal but worth finding. Food was traditional Portuguese food. The service was good and friendly.  The wine by the bottle we had was local and made in traditional Clay Amphoras at &euro;10 others at &euro;16. We will return.

The goat cheese salad really stood out, and the staff kept the water glasses full without hovering. Place is small but cozy. My wine pairing was decent, though nothing mind-blowing.

The beef was decent &mdash; cooked properly and pretty tender. Staff were friendly enough, and the place had a relaxed vibe. Had a quiet dinner there and it worked fine for what I wanted. Nothing fancy, but I&rsquo;d probably go back if I&rsquo;m in the area again.

Small place, but honestly the food hit the spot. They even brought out a little dessert on the house at the end, which I wasn&#39;t expecting. The seating is a bit tight though, not gonna lie. I could hear pretty much every conversation around me. Still, I&#39;d go back for the meal itself.

The dogfish soup was so good, proper Alentejo taste. Owner was lovely and helped us pick. Great spot for a catch-up with friends 🙂

Nice spot by Fonte das 3, fresh ingredients in the salad. Menu could use more local dishes though.

The chef has tried and succeeded in offering old fashioned Portuguese recipes with a new, modern twist.  Food was of excellent quality, creative, well presented and above all delicious. The seeded bread with the carrot cream was to die for. Nice wine list, excellent service.

Generous portions for the price, that&#39;s for sure. The grilled fish was fresh and the veggies weren&#39;t soggy. Service was fine, nothing fancy.

Wow! From the moment we entered we knew we were in for a special evening. The place itself is just amazing! Great art, great music, everywhere you look there is something unusual to catch the eye.The food choice/menu was very good and our waiter, Vasco, explained how the sharing concept worked. We also shared a recommended wine flight to compliment each course. We loved the food! Each course was a pleasure to eat. Portions were plentiful. Stopped by for lunch after checking out the auction house nearby. Got the bife &agrave; cortador&mdash;meat was properly fresh, cooked just right. Portions are generous, staff actually helped us figure out what to order. Nothing fancy about the place, but it doesn&#39;t need to be. Solid spot if you&#39;re in the area and want a proper steak.

Came on a local&#39;s tip. Black pork secreto was the standout &mdash; proper flavor. Service drags when it&#39;s packed, so don&#39;t be in a rush. Solid spot overall.

Pork cheek was spot on, tender and full of flavor. Migas were hearty too. Portions are generous, no doubt. Just a heads up, some dishes run a bit salty and rich. Solid spot for a quick, filling bite.

The staff here are genuinely nice&mdash;friendly but not hovering over you. I had the pizza and it came out hot, crust was decent. Also tried the homemade sangria, pretty solid. Place was a bit busy but that&#39;s fine. Would come back if I&#39;m in the area again.

The owner was so welcoming and the roast lamb came out perfectly cooked. Really happy we stopped here in Vila Vi&ccedil;osa!

The plumas were cooked just right, really tender. Had the house red from Borba with the cheese starter and it worked well together. Portions felt fair for what you pay. The food and ambiance were fantastic. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the wines and the food they were serving. I highly recommend this restaurant. I will be back there again!

The staff were lovely and the place feels cozy. Had the Alentejo pork&mdash;so flavorful, honestly the best I&#39;ve tried. Chocolate mousse was a nice finish too.

The fried cod with gravy was really fresh, exactly what I needed. Prices run a bit higher than nearby spots, but the quality felt worth it.

Migas with cod and pork cheeks were spot on. Dona Isabel knows her stuff. Hilltop view over the valley is the real deal. Just wish we had more time to sit and take it in.

The black pork was honestly the star of the night 🐷 so tender and full of flavor. We grabbed a bottle of Monte da Bonan&ccedil;a to go with it and that pairing just worked. Service kept checking on us which was nice but not pushy. Only thing is the place got a bit loud later on, but for a casual dinner with friends it was perfect.

The bacalhau gratinado was properly good. Sat near the window watching people wander through the castle walls, felt like time slowed down a bit. Staff left us alone until we needed them, which I appreciated. Wine list had some nice Portuguese options. Just wish the bread basket wasn&#39;t extra, feels a bit cheeky.
