Stumbled upon this place while in town. The food had that proper homemade feel, and the pub itself was cosy, just like a country local. A nice find.

Proper local pub. The homecooked food was fantastic. Had the Sunday roast, beef was spot on, proper gravy. Staff were lovely, made you feel right at home.

Fresh pizza, homemade dough. They do vegan cheese on all of them. Got a quick lunch here, came out fast. Probably the best slice around.

The portions are huge, and the flavours are spot on. I had the lamb shank and it just fell off the bone. Staff were lovely too.

Came here with a group of friends last Friday. The lamb shashlik was so good, really tender and that jalfrezi sauce had a proper kick to it. Perfect for sharing and chatting over. Service was spot on, never had to wait long for anything.

The Deadwood Monster burger was cooked just right, juicy and full of flavour. The dirty fries were a solid choice too.

A decent spot, but remember to bring cash. The pasta was pretty good, simple and fresh. Service was fine, a bit slow when they got busy.

The Sunday roast was the main event. Beef was tender, gravy rich, and the Yorkshire pudding was spot on. Good portion for the price. The roast potatoes could have been crispier, but that's a minor thing.

The curry king prawn from their takeout was spot on. Really tasty and ready exactly when they said.

Great food and service! The pub has a fantastic selection of drinks, and the atmosphere is always friendly. Perfect spot for a casual night out.

The patatas bravas were spot on, crispy outside and fluffy inside. The sauce had just the right kick.

Love the old building vibe. Staff are always quick and friendly. The steak and ale pie was a proper one - loads of filling, and the chips were spot on. Just what you want on a cold evening.

Decent spot for a family dinner. The special fried rice had plenty of fresh prawns and meat. Portions are generous for the price. Service was a bit slow on a Tuesday evening, but the value is solid.

The takeaway portions are generous for the price. I got the chicken tikka masala and there was enough for two meals easily. Staff were quick and friendly. Good spot if you're after something filling without a big spend.

Been coming here for years, it's a proper local. The beer selection is always spot on. Portions are big, you won't leave hungry. The fish and chips last Friday was exactly what you want from a pub meal.

Decent portion for a takeaway, and the food was still hot when I got home. The place itself is clean and simple, nothing fancy but it feels comfortable to wait in.

Lovely little beer garden, perfect for a sunny afternoon. They had a few local ales on tap, which was nice. The Polly's was my favourite. Just a shame it got a bit crowded later on.

This pub has a lovely atmosphere with friendly staff who make you feel welcome. The food is delicious, especially the steak pie and chicken schnitzel, both cooked to perfection.

The team handled our event catering beautifully. I really appreciated how they accommodated our request for a few gluten-free options. The chips were a hit, though I wish there had been a lighter, baked alternative as well.
