The food was delicious and beautifully presented, making it a feast for the eyes as well. The cozy atmosphere of the older building adds to its charm.

Restaurant in Hotel Bayerischer Hof Munich

The pork knuckle was the standout. Crispy skin, tender inside, proper seasoning. Ate it with the potato dumplings and sauerkraut. Portion size is generous, maybe too much for one person. The schnitzel was decent too, though the breading could've been crunchier. Came here on a busy night, food still arrived quick. That's what matters.

The veggie options here are actually decent, which surprised me for Munich. Andrea at the front was super nice and made sure my dish came out the way I wanted. Solid spot.

The courtyard is lovely, that’s for sure. Burrata was creamy and the aragosta pasta had real flavor. Would’ve liked a better wine list to match, but the food carried it.

Stumbled in here after a long walk and it hit the spot. Traditional dishes done right, nothing fancy. The staff let us take our time with the menu. They had a decent local red that paired well with the roast pork. English menu was a plus. Bathrooms were clean, which is always a good sign.

The lighting and seating here are what I remember most — comfortable chairs, not too cramped, and the room didn’t feel like a cafeteria. Had the fish dish, which was decent. Could’ve been slightly warmer, but the vibe made up for it. I’d sit at the window table again.

The filetpfanne and dumplings were solid, really hearty stuff. Watching the bartender tap a fresh wooden keg was a nice touch. Just don't expect fast service when it's full, we waited a bit.

Pad Thai was solid, really flavorful, maybe just a touch salty for my taste. Would've loved a crisp Riesling to balance it out, but their drink list is pretty basic. Cozy spot though.

The all-day breakfast menu saved me—showed up around 2pm and still got eggs and pancakes. The back seating area is what I remember most though. Nice design, comfortable chairs, not too loud even when it filled up. Good spot if you want to sit and take your time. Food was fine, nothing crazy, but the space itself made it worth it.

We came here twice during our stay. Menu’s well put together, not too big, but covers most bases. Staff were solid both times—attentive without hovering. Food came out quick, which I appreciated. Portions are fair for the price. Nothing fancy, but it does the job. Wouldn’t mind going back if I’m in the area again.

The food was solid and the vibe is nice, but service gets slow when they're packed. Took forever to flag someone down for the bill. Still, I'd eat here again.

The schnitzel was huge, easily enough for two. Augustiner on tap was spot on. Fair prices for the portion size, though I wished for a few more veggie sides.

The way they handle guests here is something else. You can tell they actually care, not just going through the motions. My pasta had this unexpected citrus note that caught me off guard, in a good way. Felt like a proper Italian place that respects the food. I'll be back for sure.

Been coming here for years and it's still my go-to spot in the area. The beer garden is huge and always full of locals, which says enough. Food's been more consistent lately too.

Great burgers, no question. I had the classic cheeseburger and it was cooked properly, juicy, not dry. The staff actually knew the menu when I asked about sauces, which was a nice change. Portion size is solid for the price, you won't leave hungry. Place was busy but not chaotic. Good spot for a quick bite.

The monthly menu keeps things fresh, so I never get bored coming back. Steak was cooked properly and the wine list had solid picks without crazy prices. Good spot for hanging with friends.

Been coming here for a while now, and the buffala pizza keeps me hooked. Generous size, good crust, not too soggy in the middle. Had the virgin colada again this time—solid as always. Service was friendly too, nothing over the top, just right. Place stays consistent, which is why I keep going back.

Stopped by for a quick bite and grabbed the small plate. Seasoning was on point, food came out fast. Honestly more filling than I expected for the size. Saw some cakes on the counter on the way out, looked decent. Fine spot if you're in a hurry and want something solid.

Went for a weekday lunch and grabbed a seat by the window. The pasta was cooked right, nothing fancy but solid. I had a glass of their house red with the tagliatelle—decent pairing, not too heavy. Place was quiet, easy to talk. Service kept it simple, no rushing. Fine spot if you're in the area and want Italian without the fuss.

Can’t beat the coffee price around here. Always packed with students, so it gets a bit loud, but fine for a quick chat.

The wine list here is solid, and the staff actually know what they’re talking about. Pours are a bit small for what you pay, though. Quality makes up for it, mostly. I’d come back if I’m in the mood for a decent glass without the fuss.

Service was quick, staff even called out our order in English for us. Nice touch since my German is basically nonexistent. Portion was decent for the price, didn't leave hungry.

Tried the wagyu burger today. Meat was really juicy, cooked just right. Bun held up well, didn't fall apart halfway through. Kind of pricey for a burger but you get what you pay for. Place was busy around lunch, had to wait a bit for a seat. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

Big portions, solid local food, prices are fair. The Kaiserschmarrn took forever though, like 30 mins. Still, worth it if you're sharing.

Came here for brunch last weekend and honestly the terrace alone is worth it. Big, open, not one of those cramped setups where you're elbowing the next table. Food was fresh and light, exactly what I needed. Portion size was decent for the price too. Bonus: the shop downstairs is fun to wander through after you eat.

The schnitzel was decent—crispy on the outside, tender inside. Outdoor seating made it feel relaxed. English menus available if you ask.

Solid steak, the John Stone with those thin fries. Pepper sauce on the side was a good call. Staff were friendly enough. Chilled spot for dinner.

The kimchi jjigae here is legit. Big pot, plenty of tofu and pork, easily enough for two if you order something else. Seafood pancake was also solid. Price tag is a bit steep, but honestly the portions make up for it. I left full and didn't feel ripped off. Just wish they had a lunch special or something to make it a little easier on the wallet.

Solid Neapolitan pizza. Crust was light and fluffy, ingredients tasted fresh. Probably the closest to Italy I've had in Munich.
