Nice view of the garden from the table. Place has a calm vibe, not too fancy. Food was decent but nothing blew me away. Fine for a quiet dinner if you're in the area.

Wow! I was worried looking at some google reviews, how wrong I was. Let me start by saying I am married to a Japanese, that we are true International foodies and often travelling to Japan obviously for the past 20yrs as a couple . We had the Kaiseki menu (degustation, 5-6 dishes for 88€) not only the food quality and tastes were amazing (as well as quantity), service was spotless, and the quality/price ratio is also quite good compared to another “premium” Asian (hotel) restaurant not very far that we tried the day before and left a little disappointed. The wine selection was also quite good and reasonably priced for a very nice Duro white wine. We agreed this meal was one of our top 10 Japanese restaurants experience ever, so we cannot recommend it enough. This is definitely a top Madeiran restaurant on the 16th floor of the Savoy Palace hotel so dressing accordingly is recommended to fully enjoy this very nice culinary experience.

Excellent food, good service. We particularly liked the baby squid amd tje skewer with shrimp and squid as well as the Alvarinho.

This place great exceeded our expectations. We had the filet and octopus and both were served with amazing sides and sauces. We’re only here for 5 nights and we will probably go back because we all enjoyed it so much.

Lovely ambiance! Great in the evening, but go during the day to see the beautiful view. Vegetarian/vegan friendly menu available. Delicious food!

The atmosphere here is fantastic, especially with live music enhancing the dining experience. The food is excellent, beautifully presented, and the service is impeccable and attentive without being intrusive.

The staff remembered us from lunch when we came back for dinner. That was a nice touch. Food was solid home-style cooking, nothing fancy but satisfying.

Grilled sardines and prawns were spot on, super fresh. Staff was nice too. Solid spot in Santa Maria.

Sushi was fresh and well presented. Service stood out—attentive without hovering. Good spot if you're in the area and want variety.

Tuna steak was spot on, squid too. Prices felt fair for the quality. The Madeiran wine pairing was a nice touch. Place is easy to miss but worth finding.

Grilled limpets were spot on, fruit punch hit the spot too. Live music made it fun, but service kinda dragged once it filled up.

The pastel de nata here are always warm, pastry's flaky and the custard's creamy. Best ones I had in Madeira, hands down.

Came in with low expectations, honestly. Left actually impressed. The dinner was spot-on, especially the way they handled the timing of each course. Didn’t feel rushed at all. Service kept up without hovering, which I appreciated. Place has a nice hum to it, not too loud. Maybe a bit pricey for what it is, but I’d still go back.

The Madeira menu is still one of the best deals around – three courses, a drink and coffee for about €16. Food was tasty, nothing fancy but solid. Service was quick and friendly, which I appreciated since I hate waiting around. Place gets busy at lunch though, so don't expect a quiet chat.

The beef on the hot stone was the highlight. Cooked just right, fun to do yourself. Drinks were cheap too.

This place is a hidden gem in Funchal! The creative menu caters to various tastes, and even a fussy vegetarian would find something delightful.

Decent spot after exploring Monte. The bolo do caco was warm and garlicky, plus they had good veggie options. Service was friendly, view's a bonus.

Been here a few times now, the garden with the palm trees always gets me. Portions are solid and the veggie option is tasty. Service stays friendly, no complaints.

First time at Theo’s today, where we enjoyed a well presented and tasty lunch, with great service. We will definitely be returning

excellent team of waiters, casual ambience, only ordered one main dish but it was fresh, wholesome, tasty and well presented. Would happily return/ recommend to others

The picado here is a solid plate — plenty of meat, fries, rice, the works. I got full halfway through and still kept eating because it tasted that good. House wine was cheap too, which surprised me. Place is basic, nothing fancy, but honestly who cares when the food hits like this. Busy with locals, always a good sign.

Lovely outdoor seating, really cozy for a relaxed dinner. Staff were friendly too. My salad was fresh, though I wish they'd offered a bit more variety in the greens.

The grilled seafood plate for two was really good—fresh and cooked just right. €28 felt fair for what you got. Service was quick too. 👍

I highly recommend the special three-course meal with wine pairing. The value for money is exceptional, and the staff are very accommodating, especially for dietary restrictions.

Came back here again last time I was in Madeira. Marcelino still running the place, still singing karaoke mid-service. Espetada was as good as I remembered, meat cooked right. Homemade wine does the job too. Place gets busy so you might wait a bit, but that's fine. Consistent, that's why I keep coming.

Came here twice while on holiday and honestly the chocolate mousse is what kept pulling me back. Really well balanced, not too sweet, and you can tell they use good quality chocolate. The rest of the menu looked decent too, though I didn't get to try everything. Just wish they had a few more lighter dessert options.

Stopped by for a quick dinner and grabbed the spinach and ricotta ravioli with smoked ham. Pasta was decent, filling enough, though the ham made it a bit salty for my taste. Bruschetta was a nice way to start. Staff were friendly, place felt relaxed. Fine choice if you're in the area and want something simple.

The beef tartare here is really good, exactly how I like it. Service was friendly and quick. Nice little French spot, though it's a bit pricey for what you get.

ComTradições offers a unique gastronomic experience with traditional Portuguese dishes that are beautifully presented and bursting with flavor.

The steak sandwich on bolo de caco was the only thing I cared about. Meat was juicy, bread had that slightly charred texture. Portion big enough that I didn't need anything else. Price fair for what you get. Place itself is whatever, but the sandwich does the job.
