The food was really good—we had the schnitzel and it came out hot and crispy. Place itself feels a bit tired though, could use some new chairs and maybe a coat of paint. But honestly, the quality of what's on the plate made up for the worn-out look. I'd come back for that.

Decent Thai spot in Mannheim. Had the green curry, flavors were pretty good and tasted fresh. Staff was friendly enough. Place is quite small though, we had to wait a bit for a table. Not mind-blowing, but solid if you're in the area and craving Thai.

The burgers are always solid, and I like that they switch up the drink menu. Had a cheeseburger and a fancy lemonade thing last time—both hit the spot. But honestly, for what you pay, I kinda expected a bit more on the plate. It's fine for a quick bite, just not somewhere I'd go out of my way for.

The grilled sausages over beechwood were properly smoky, and the sauerkraut actually tasted like something homemade, not from a jar. Portion was decent for the price, which surprised me given how touristy the area can get. Sitting at the long communal tables felt a bit cramped though, especially when it got busy. Still, I left full without feeling ripped off. That's what counts for me.

Solid traditional food. Local wine list was really good too. Sat in the courtyard, nice on a warm day. Service fine, not in your face. Maybe a bit touristy but whatever. Portions decent for the price.

The döner here is honestly the standard I measure others against now. Salad was crisp, sauces layered properly, and the meat had real flavor without being greasy. Took my friend group there before a night out and we all agreed it hit the spot. Just wish they had a bit more seating inside, we ended up standing by the counter. Still, totally solid pick if you care about your kebab. 😄

The lunch bowls are decent for the price, and the weekend brunch buffet is solid. Coffee's strong too. Just wish the seating was a bit more comfortable, the chairs got hard after a while.

Pizza was solid, thin crust done right. Sat on the side patio, which is decent if you want to avoid the noise inside. Staff handled our order in English without any hassle. Prices fair for the portion. Not a destination spot, but fine if you're in the area and want a quick bite.

The vegan chocolate cake was a bit bitter around the edges, but that mandarin and sour cream cake? Absolutely delicious. Aperol hit the spot too. Lovely setting, fair price.

Lovely old building, proper German food. Service was attentive, didn't have to wait long. Fair prices for the center. Just wish the room wasn't quite so warm.

The mushroom cream sauce is still as good as the first time I came. Service was slow again, but that strudel keeps me coming back.

The Schäufele was cooked for three hours and honestly fell apart with the fork. Paired it with a dark beer that had a nice smoky edge. Fair price for the quality. Terrace view of the castle was a bonus.

The original L'Osteria spot still has that old-school charm. You can tell they've been around the block a few times.

Found this place by chance near our hotel, and it was packed with locals. Two pizzas, a bottle of red, salad, and coffees came to €39 – honestly decent for what you get. The food was solid, nothing fancy, but the vibe was nice. Only thing: the tables are a bit close together, so you kinda hear everyone’s conversation. Still, I’d go back if I’m in the area.

Big salads and a solid burger menu right by Bismarckplatz. Got there on a Saturday without a reservation and waited a bit, so book ahead if you can.

Solid Greek and German food. Garlic potatoes were the highlight, meat was decent too. Beer garden vibe is lively, makes you wanna hang around longer. Nothing fancy but does the job.

The lighting in there was really something—soft, warm, not too bright. Made the whole place feel cozy without trying too hard. Staff were friendly too. Food was decent, though a couple of dishes tasted a bit flat. Still, I’d sit by the window again just for that vibe.

Right on the market square, impossible to beat the location. Food's been solid every time we've gone. Gets busy, but fine for showing visitors around.

Decent menu variety - they even have fish if you're over the sausage thing. The trout meunière was pretty good. Handy that they're open Sundays.

We stopped by for lunch after the museum—place was packed but we got a table fast. Had the quiche and a pastry, both were fresh and really decent. Portions are generous, not fancy but filling. Bill for three with drinks came to €44, which felt okay for what you get. Service was a bit rushed, but fine for a busy day.

Lovely shady terrace under the trees, proper escape from the busy square. Had a glass of local Silvaner, really refreshing on a warm afternoon. Apple strudel was good, though I wished there was more of it. Nice spot to just sit and watch people walk by.

Living abroad, you sometimes simply miss the flavours of home, and this is one of those places where you can genuinely find them. I’ve enjoyed both lunch and dinner here, and the food has always been fresh and authentically prepared. I recently tried the lunch package for the first time and was impressed by the generous variety, satisfying portions, and very reasonable price. With warm, helpful staff and inviting outdoor seating, it’s a place I’m always happy to return to.😋

The schnitzel here is still as good as the first time I had it. Crispy, not greasy, and the meat stays juicy. Portion is generous for the price. Been coming back for years just for that dish. Nothing else on the menu really matters to me.

Came for dinner last week. Place looks nice, warm lighting. Had the tasting menu — pretty solid. The sommelier picked wines that actually matched the food. Not cheap though. Service was fine, a bit slow between courses but nothing crazy. Would go back if someone else is paying.

Stopped by for dinner before a show and honestly the lamb was the highlight. Fresh, tasty, nicely plated. Service was friendly too, didn’t feel rushed at all. Place has a chill vibe, good for hanging out with friends. Only thing is it’s a bit on the pricier side, but fine for a treat. 😊

The lime-coriander rice really is the standout here. I grabbed a burrito bowl during the lunch rush and the staff stayed friendly despite the line. Portion size felt fair for what you pay. Only thing is the seating area is a bit cramped, not the place to linger if you want some space. But for a quick, fresh bite it works.

The food was solid and the vibe felt easygoing. Just bring cash—no card accepted here. Kind of a hidden spot, but worth knowing about.

Great sundae spot. We got three for four people and still couldn't finish. Huge portions, decent price for what you get.

Been coming here for years, and the unlimited schnitzel deal keeps me hooked. First one with spicy hollandaise was spot on, second one took a bit longer and wasn't quite as good. Still, I'll be back.
