A few days ago, when I went south, I took the route of Mannheim, Heidelberg, and Speyer. I didn't want to repeat the same route when I went back, so I decided to go to Miltenberg, a mountain town that was not on the itinerary. I asked the landlord Frank and he said it was good. From Ludwigsburg, head north to the town of Miltenberg in the Odenwald Mountains, where the Truss Building Road, the Roman Wall Road, and the Nibelungen Road are gathered. Parking on the banks of the Main River, the 500-meter-long old street in the town is full of houses with huge burgundy logs embedded in the walls. After 400 years of wind and rain, the old houses are still glowing red wine color in the sun, full of vitality. This is a mature tourist town, only an hour's drive from Frankfurt, but there are few Asian faces, and most of them are Germans. After a walk around, I found Zum Riesen, one of the oldest restaurants in Germany, on the old street. Business is really good, especially when the outdoor seats are full in the sunlight.
