Always a reliable spot for us. The food's consistently good, but I have to mention the lovely staff member with purple hair. She spotted us scrambling for change and sorted it out for us. Such a kind gesture that made our evening.

Really liked the food here. The lamb shank was spot on, tender and full of flavour. It's a social enterprise, which is a nice touch. A bit pricey, but you can tell they put care into the cooking.

Pistachio cannoli with my coffee. That’s it. The filling was spot on, not too sweet. Shell held up. Just a really good pastry.

Found this little spot wandering around the Grassmarket. The scrambled eggs were so creamy and perfect, honestly the best I've had in ages. The café allongé was a proper strong kick too. Just a really nice, relaxed vibe for a late breakfast.

Been coming here for years. The chocolate desserts are consistently spot on, so I always stick with those.

The Hawaiian burger was exceptional! I would happily eat here every day if I could. Highly recommend this place for its great food and service.

Came here with a few mates for a catch-up. The place is so cosy and dimly lit, really nice for just chatting for ages. We had the scallops - they were spot on! A bit on the pricier side, but the vibe was just right for our group.

The £20 lunch set for two is a steal. Portions were generous, and the quality was spot on for the price. We left pleasantly full without breaking the bank.

Been coming here for years. Their flat whites are consistently good, and the carrot cake is always spot-on. Nice to see they've kept the gluten-free options around too.

The vibe is so chilled. Came for the vegan menu and ended up loving the chargrilled seitan with polenta chips. Just a really nice, easy spot to unwind.

Lovely little neighbourhood spot. The staff are so friendly, it feels like a proper local cafe.

The paninis are a solid choice, and the jacket potatoes hit the spot. What I really liked was the space – it’s got a relaxed, airy feel with plenty of room between tables. Makes it easy to just sit and enjoy your meal without feeling rushed.

The fruit scone was the star. Perfectly crumbly texture, just the right amount of fruit, and served warm with proper clotted cream. The rest of the breakfast was good, but that scone was on another level.

Nice spot for a business lunch. Sat outside for a quick coffee meeting. The service was prompt, which was key. Inside looked comfortable too, but the terrace worked well for the short window I had.

The hot chocolate was the real deal. Thick, not too sweet, with a proper dark chocolate flavour that coats the spoon. It’s what I come for. The homemade brownie on the side was decent, a bit dense for my taste, but the chocolate intensity matched the drink well.

Love the vibe in this old building, perfect for a catch-up with friends. It's got a cosy, lived-in feel that makes you want to linger. Gets super busy though – definitely book a table!

Got here at 9am, table for five in under five minutes. The Scottish breakfast was spot on. Sausages were proper. Coffee kept coming.

Loved the vibe here for a quiet breakfast. The Belgian waffles with poached eggs and bacon were spot on. The pastry display is a real highlight though, so many tempting choices like the Basque cheesecake.

Love how tucked away this place is. The classic menu hits the spot, and the drinks are solid. It’s got that proper local feel, not overrun with visitors. Just a nice, relaxed vibe for a quiet pint.

The lamb shank was the standout. Slow-cooked for hours, the meat fell off the bone effortlessly. Rich, deep gravy with a hint of rosemary. A proper, hearty dish. A bit pricey, but you can taste the effort.

This was my grandsons 2nd birthday meal but Toby Carvery said they did not have my booking via the fork even after showing my confirmation and we had to wait 20 mins for a table. However that being said we had a lovely evening and staff were great

The tuna sandwich was fresh, flaky and really hit the spot. The bread was toasted just right, not too hard. Paired it with a flat white, which was smooth and had a nice crema. That's a solid lunch right there.

A relaxed spot, nice for a quiet lunch. The staff were very friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience feel effortless. The kids' play area is a thoughtful touch, letting you actually enjoy your meal.

Had the gluten-free Pepperoncino burger for lunch. It actually tasted like a real burger, which is a win. The place itself has a nice, relaxed vibe with comfy booths. Good spot for a casual bite.

Andrew was so nice and attentive. Really made the whole meal feel relaxed. Service like that is a rare find these days.

Our tea for two was excellent my wife and myself really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this to anyone it was an excellent day out for ourselves. The service and food was excellent.

Love that they're so welcoming to dogs. The outdoor seating area was perfect for my pup to relax while we ate. Made our visit so much easier.

Came here on a Friday for the live music. The band was really good, just the right volume for a chat over dinner. Made the whole evening feel a bit more special.

Lovely garden out back. A real hidden gem. Had lunch there on a sunny afternoon. Just a quiet spot for a bite.

First time here and the veggie burger was a total win. The patty was so flavourful and not dry at all. Chocolate cheesecake was the perfect follow-up. Really friendly vibe from the staff too.
