Handy for a quick bite before the flicks. Ordered the fish and chips through their app, came out fast. Can't beat that harbour view while you eat.

The fish and chips are the main thing. The batter is light and crisp, chips are proper chunky. Portion is decent. Had it sitting outside, which was nice, but honestly, it's all about the fish being cooked just right.

The staff were lovely and made my friend's birthday special. My only note is that the wine list felt a bit limited for the menu.

The chicken katsu bowl is my go-to. The crispy chicken and flavorful sauce make for a reliably tasty meal.

Decent spot for vegan and gluten-free. Menu is mostly plant-based. Tried the mezze box and fattoush salad. Both were solid, no complaints. The vegan baklava was a good finish. Good for a straightforward meal if you're in the area.

Portions are definitely generous. Had the steak frites, couldn't finish it all. The house red they suggested was a solid match, cut through the richness nicely. Left feeling very full, maybe a bit too much!

The king prawn karahi was pretty good. Prawns were plump, sauce had a decent flavour. A solid choice for a curry. The portion was fine, though the price felt a touch high. Would order it again.

Been coming here for years, and the veggie options are always solid. The Som Tum is consistently fresh and tangy, and the Pad Mee Tofu never disappoints. It's my go-to for a reliable, tasty meal.

Lovely spot for a coffee after a stroll. The cakes are delicious and the seats by the window are very comfortable.

Chicken thigh and aubergine were the standouts. Small plates let you try a few things. Fresh ingredients, good flavour. Simple but solid.

Walked in without a booking and they squeezed us in. The staff were so friendly, really made us feel welcome.

I loved the Wee taste of Scotland taster menu! It exceeded my expectations and introduced me to new flavors. The staff made our celebration special, and I can't wait to return for another amazing meal.

The tortilla and boquerones were spot on. My only quibble is the wine list, a bit limited for a tapas place. The Rioja I had was fine, but I'd love more options by the glass to pair with different dishes.

The owner was so nice, he even made my dish extra spicy when I asked. Really appreciated that.

The Neapolitan pizza was spot on. What really stood out for me was the freshness of the ingredients. The tomato sauce tasted so bright and vibrant, you could tell it was made with really ripe tomatoes. The dough had a lovely, airy chew to it. Just a really clean, simple meal.

I had an incredible experience at Heron! The attention to detail in both the food and service is remarkable. Every course was a highlight, and I can't wait to return for another tasting menu.

No. 4 of Fine Dining in Edinburgh

Tried the tamarind and coconut ribs on my first visit. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, and the sauce had a nice balance of sweet and tangy. The coconut flavour was subtle but came through. A solid dish.

Delicious food. Perfect service - love it when the order is repeated back. Excellent atmosphere. Comfy chairs. Looking forward to coming again!

Decent meal deal for a quick dinner. The set menu was well-priced, portions were fine. Service was efficient. Nothing fancy, but it does the job for the price.

The vegan char siu had a really good texture, almost like the real thing. The 'duck' was also surprisingly flavourful, not bland at all. You can tell they put effort into getting the seasoning right.

The seafood specials were decent, but the portion sizes could be a bit more generous for the price.

Stopped by for dinner. The staff were really nice, especially Jaydleen and Muneeb. They checked on us a few times without being over the top. Made the whole thing feel pretty relaxed.

The pork adobo here is a family recipe, and it really does taste like home cooking. One of the best plates I've had in ages. Just a really comforting, standout dish.

The food at Gurkha is exceptional, with rich flavors and beautifully presented dishes. The chicken tikka masala and lamb korma were particularly delicious!

The kimchi smash burger was a great match with their house lager. The hand-ripped noodles were good too, though a bit salty.

The grilled pork banh mi is the one to get. The baguette was fresh and crisp, and the little bowl of beef broth on the side was a nice touch.

Been coming here for years, it's a solid local spot. The gluten-free options are a lifesaver for my partner. Food's always good quality, looks just like the menu photos. Place is nice and roomy, never feels cramped.

The haggis was really good. Had it with the brown sauce, and then tried it with hashbrown and cheese. Both ways worked for me. Solid choice.

The dome ceiling is stunning, really sets the place apart. Food was tasty, atmosphere lively. A solid spot in Edinburgh.

Oscar was so lovely! He gave us some great tips about the menu and even a few local spots to check out later. Really made our girls' night feel special. The service was just spot on.
