Central location, easy to find. Breakfast buffet was solid, plenty of options. East Frisian tea was a nice touch. Service fine, nothing to complain about.

We popped in a few times during the week. Currywurst was solid, schnitzel crispy, and the surf and turf surprisingly fresh. Staff stayed friendly even when it got packed. Only thing, service slows down a bit when they're busy, but that's understandable. Good spot if you're in the area.

We came here twice during our stay, and honestly, the fish was the reason. Cooked just right, flaky, not dry. Portion size was decent for the price, which is rare around here. Service was friendly, no complaints. Second visit was just as good as the first. Wouldn't mind going back if we're in the area again.

Stopped by for dinner with a few friends. Portions are huge, definitely not leaving hungry. Got the mixed grill and it did the job. Staff was chill about us being a bigger group, even sorted out a small booking mess without drama. Prices feel fair for what you get. Solid spot if you're in the area and want something easy.

The octopus and gambas were pretty good—cooked well, decent portions. Came for a special occasion and it didn't disappoint. Just wish the service had been a bit faster.

Pizza was loaded with toppings, which I appreciated for the price. Service kept up even when it got busy. Kids' stuff handled fine too.

The staff actually remembers you when you come back—that's rare. Food was solid, nothing fancy, but the friendly service made it easy to relax.

Quick lunch stop — got the fish dish and it came out fast. Fresh, cooked right. Staff didn't hover, which I liked. Solid spot if you're in a hurry.

Came here three times. Burgers were solid, lamb rack was decent too. The all-you-can-eat schnitzel day is the real deal. Fireplace inside makes it cozy. Food's good, nothing fancy but does the job.

We finally tried this place after coming to the island for years. The portions are really generous for the price, which I appreciated. Staff were friendly and made it feel easy, you know? Just a relaxed spot to sit and eat without any fuss. Only thing was it got a bit busy later, but that's fine. Solid choice.

Great spot for a quick bite. Staff were funny and the food hit the spot. Got in and out fast, which is exactly what I needed. 👍

The smoked salmon with fried potatoes was solid. Owner’s a real character, adds to the vibe. Place is tiny though, so you definitely need a reservation. Walked in once without one, no chance. Food came out quick and hot. Would eat that salmon again.

The pulled pork burger was solid and the portion felt right for the price. Veggie options were decent too. Staff friendly enough, though it got a bit busy. Fine for a casual bite.

Came here with a couple of friends and honestly the penne with salmon was the highlight. Creamy but not too heavy. The owner chatted with us for a bit which felt really nice. Place is tiny though, so don’t expect a quiet long dinner if it’s busy. Bruschetta was fine, nothing crazy. Would go back for the pasta though 🙂

Cute little place right in the center of Emden, super easy to walk to. The inside is really cozy and well-kept, perfect for hanging out with friends 😊

The tiger prawns with pasta were spot on—properly cooked, not rubbery at all. Kids cleaned their plates without complaints, which says a lot. I paired mine with a decent glass of white wine, and it worked nicely with the garlic sauce. Staff were friendly enough, though it got a bit busy mid-meal. Left full, no regrets.

Stopped by with our dog for a hot drink and they were super welcoming. Got a cappuccino, it was solid. Cozy spot to warm up, especially on a chilly day. Wouldn't mind coming back if we're in the area again.

We stopped by for lunch and I got the 12-uurtje. The hot chocolate was properly rich, not too sweet. The food was decent, though I did find the portion a bit on the small side for the price. But the ingredients tasted fresh, which I always appreciate. Staff was friendly enough, came by to check on us a couple of times.

Stopped by for lunch — the space used to be a blacksmith shop, you can feel it in the beams. I had the grilled fish with greens, everything tasted properly fresh. Not the cheapest place, but the ingredients felt thoughtfully sourced. Service was friendly without hovering. I'd come back for the salad alone, honestly.

The schnitzel was decent but the breading could've been crispier. Prices are fair for what you get though. Place was a bit cold inside, but I'd still come back.

The beef tartare was solid — good kick of spice, nice acidity. Cordon bleu came out juicy, cheese actually melted through it. Service kept it simple, checked in just enough. Place wasn't too loud either, which I appreciated. Nothing fancy, but I'd eat here again if I'm in the area.

The daily specials on the wall are always a safe bet here. Been coming for a while and they keep it consistent. Place gets busy but that's part of the vibe.

Stopped by for a late lunch and grabbed a table near the window. The pasta was decent, though I wish they'd offered a better wine pairing suggestion—had to ask twice. Meat dish came out fine, nothing fancy. Portions are on the smaller side, so order a starter if you're hungry. Cozy spot, though.

Came here for a birthday dinner with a few friends and honestly the table decoration surprised me — they’d set it up without us even asking. Food was solid across the board, especially the pasta. Place got a bit loud later in the evening but it didn’t bother us much. Would come back for a casual night out.

The set menu here is the way to go. Each dish felt well thought out, and the wine pairing actually worked with the food. Nice spot on the island.

The location really is the selling point here—right by the beach and pool, kids had plenty of room to run around. Food was decent, nothing fancy, but fine for a casual lunch. Service was quick, which I appreciated. Prices though, ouch. You're definitely paying for the spot. I'd come back for the setting, not the food.

Been coming here for a while now. Food's consistently good, that's why I keep going back. Service can be a bit hit or miss, some days the staff are super friendly, other days they seem rushed. But honestly, the dishes make up for it. Had another solid meal last week, nothing fancy, just reliable. That's what keeps me coming through the door.

Been coming here for a while now. The food’s always clean and tasty, never had a bad meal. Staff’s friendly too, though the back entrance for wheelchair access can be a bit tricky, might need someone to help. Still, it’s consistent, and that’s why I keep coming back.

The cream puffs are still good, and I like that they keep a few savory options around. Place has a bit of an old-school feel. Dogs allowed too, which is a plus for us locals.

Quiet terrace out back is the real selling point—nice to sit there without street noise. Food was solid, prices fair. Good spot if you're in Esens.
