Restaurant in Château St Gerlach - Oostwegel Collection, Member of Relais and Châteaux

Stopped by for a tasting and ended up staying way longer than planned. The guy behind the counter really knows his stuff—answered every question without making me feel rushed. Tried a few things I wouldn't normally pick, glad I did. Place has a chill vibe, easy to hang out in. Only thing is it got a bit busy later, but that's on me for lingering.

Loved the vintage vibe here — really felt like stepping back in time. Got the schnitzel, pretty solid, though the sides were a bit meh. Nice spot for a stroll around the old town after.

The Margherita with buffalo mozzarella was really good—dough had that nice chew and the toppings tasted fresh. Slightly pricey for the area, but I’d grab it again if I’m craving pizza 😊

The steak was cooked properly, decent quality for the price. Cozy spot, nice decor. We did the multi-course menu and honestly, it's fair value for what you get. Nothing fancy but solid. I'd probably come back if I'm in the area again.

The falafel and shish tauk were really good, you can tell they make everything fresh in-house. We sat outside with a few friends and it was chill, not too loud. Service was friendly too. Only thing is the place is kinda small, but that didn't bother us much. Solid spot if you're in the area. 😊

Black and gold decor is really striking, modern rococo done well. Had the four cheese penne, pretty solid. Lots of vegetarian options too, which I always appreciate.

The setting of this tavern is beautiful, and the service is friendly. The unique experience of cooking your own meat on a hot stone adds a fun twist to the dining experience.

Fun concept, food mostly good. Server was helpful, but one dish arrived raw. Decent spot overall.

Solid local food and cold beer right inside the resort. We grabbed a quick dinner and it hit the spot. Just double-check the kitchen hours before heading over.

We got there pretty late and they still found us a table, which I appreciated. The marinated shrimp were decent, truffle fries had a good kick to them. Honestly the seating area felt a bit cramped though, not the most comfortable for a long dinner. Service was friendly enough, no complaints there. Just wish the chairs were a little more forgiving.

Nice service. Pleasant interior. Flavours of second courses interesting only california sushi very weak. Also old fashioned not made according to the art of bartending.

Been coming here for years, still my favorite dessert place in Aachen. The chocolate cake with fruits is exactly what I keep ordering—never disappoints. Coffee's solid too. Cozy inside, service is quick. Only thing: card only works over 10€, so bring cash if you're just grabbing a small thing.

Decent spot for a quick bite. Portions are solid and the staff seemed chill. Gets pretty packed on weekends though, so better book a table.

The cocktail I had was properly balanced, not too sweet. Food came out fresh and hit the spot. Nice little place to unwind after work. Just wish they had a few more veggie options on the menu. But what I ordered was good.

The pizza was solid and the price felt fair for what you got. Service was friendly without hovering. I grabbed a table near the window, which was nice for people-watching. Crust had a good chew, not too doughy. Maybe not the most mind-blowing pizza in town, but it hit the spot for a casual dinner.

Stopped by for lunch on a weekday. Mixed appetizer platter was solid, sea bass with spinach cooked properly. Place is tucked in a residential street, easy to walk past. Decor is basic, service was fine. Daily specials on the board looked decent. Fair for the price, would come back if in the area.

The staff were friendly and attentive, and they actually returned a lost ring to a guest. That kind of thoughtfulness stood out. Pretty decent service overall.

The owner talked us into the dinner menu instead of just wine and honestly he nailed it. Scampi with capers was the highlight, pasta arrabbiata had a proper kick. Felt like a real Italian spot, not a tourist trap.

Cozy spot with a proper Dutch bites menu. Staff knew their beers and helped me pick something that paired well with the bitterballen. Nice and warm inside on a chilly evening.

The head chef was off that night, but the younger guy running the pass didn’t miss a beat. Every plate came out sharp, inventive, properly seasoned. I let him pick a wine pairing for the tasting menu—worked out better than I expected. Only tiny gripe: pacing got a bit slow near the end. Still, solid cooking.

Great spot for a sunset dinner. Food came out fast, which I appreciated since I was on a tight schedule. Tried the grilled fish, decent portion but nothing extraordinary. Location is the real selling point here. Prices run a bit steep for the quality, but you're paying for the view. Fine for a one-off visit.

Decent menu with plenty of options, from sandwiches to pasta. The terrace on the little square is the best part. Food was fresh, though nothing fancy in presentation. Pretty good spot overall.

Lovely little family spot. The owner actually came by to check if everything was alright. Had the grilled fish, cooked just right. Portion could be bigger for the price though.

Cozy little place, staff were easy to talk to. Had the pasta and it hit the spot, nothing fancy but solid. Wouldn't mind coming back.

The lunch menu here is honestly a solid deal. I had the set meal and everything came out fresh and properly cooked. Place is small but comfy, staff were nice enough. Only thing is it got a bit busy around 1pm, but that's on me for the timing. Would come back if I'm in the area again.
