Decent spot. Friendly staff, generous portions. Parking was easy enough. Only downside - they don&#39;t brew their own beer anymore, which is a bit odd for a brewery.

Nice little place by the park. Terrace view is decent, and the homemade cakes were pretty good. Had a slice of the apple cake, not too sweet, just right. Playground right next door, so the kids could run around while we sat. Service was fine, nothing special but okay. Would come back if we&#39;re in the area.

The antipasti plate did it for me&mdash;grilled zucchini and those mushrooms stuffed with sheep&#39;s cheese were spot on. Paired it with a glass of something light and dry, worked nicely. Place was a bit busy but the food came quick. I&#39;d go back just for that starter again.

The duck and king prawn specials came out sizzling in those iron pots. Really good stuff. Portions are decent for the price, too.

We&#39;ve been regulars for years and they still get it right every time. Staff actually remembers us, which says a lot. Food is solid and fairly priced. Outdoor seating&#39;s a nice touch when it&#39;s warm.

The beef pho here hit the spot&mdash;broth had real depth, not the watery kind you get at most places. I ordered a Vietnamese coffee with it, which worked surprisingly well. Place was busy but the bowl came out fast. Would come back just for that broth alone.

The braised ox cheeks were really good&mdash;super tender and the celery puree worked well with it. Portion was decent for the price, though not huge. Solid spot if you&#39;re in the area.

The cappuccino was solid &mdash; nice roasted caramel taste, good milk balance. Carrot cake fell flat though, dry and kinda sandy. Stick to the coffee here.

The rhubarb cake with meringue was the highlight. Sweet, tart, crumbly&mdash;really well done. The rest was fine, but that one slice is why I&#39;d come back.

The jalape&ntilde;o burger was okay, not amazing, but the place itself is solid. Separate smoking and non-smoking rooms, which is practical. Service was quick enough for a weekday lunch. Fine if you&#39;re in the area and need something reliable. Nothing more.
