Truffle pasta was solid—probably the best I’ve had in the area. Owner came by for a quick chat, felt genuine, not forced. Would go back for that dish alone.

No. 8 of Must-Visit Restaurants in Cologne

The pork knuckle was spot on. Crispy skin, tender inside, proper amount of salt. Had it with the potato dumplings and sauerkraut. That combo just works. Portion was big enough that I skipped dessert. Been here a few times now, the kitchen stays consistent. That's mainly what I care about.

The food was really good again, and the owner being around definitely keeps things on point. Only thing—it gets pretty warm inside, so go light on layers. I was sweating a bit by the end.

We came here for a friend's birthday, group of 10, and they had a nice table ready for us. The cannelloni and tiramisu were really good, honestly everything we ordered hit the spot. Staff was friendly and checked in on us without being annoying. Only tiny thing—it got a bit loud as the evening went on, but we were a big group too, so fair enough 😄

The Argentinian steak was cooked just right, really juicy and full of flavor. Our waitress was super friendly, made the whole evening feel easy. Only thing, the place got a bit loud later on, but that didn't bother us much. Solid spot if you're in the mood for a good cut of meat.

The pisco sour was solid and the ceviche pretty fresh. Place has a nice buzz to it, though service felt a bit all over the place. Fine for a casual catch-up, just don't expect a quiet evening.

The outdoor seating is lovely, and the wine list has some nice options. I went for the grilled vegetables with quinoa—fresh, not overcooked, exactly what I needed. Service was friendly, though it took a moment to get the bill. A decent spot to relax after work.

We stopped in after our train got delayed, and honestly the staff was so kind about it. They even helped us in English, which I really appreciated. The food was fresh and tasted homemade, not heavy at all. They brought us tea and a little dessert on the house, which felt thoughtful. Just a nice, calm place to land.

Stopped by for dinner on a weekday. Sourdough with whipped butter was the standout—simple but done right. Service was quick and friendly, no fuss. Place was busy but not chaotic. Prices fair for what you get. Would come back if in the area.

The moussaka was kinda bland, but the gyros with Metaxa sauce hit the spot. Window view of the old town is the real reason to come.

Stopped by for a late lunch and grabbed a table near the window. The Kölsch was ice cold, just how it should be. Had the schnitzel with fries — decent portion, crispy enough. Place was busy but not chaotic. Old photos on the walls give it that proper local pub vibe. Service was friendly, though we waited a bit for the bill. Fine for a casual bite.

We came for dinner and I really liked how comfortable the seating was. The lamb shank was tender and had good flavor. Service was friendly but not hovering, which I appreciate. It's a nice spot if you want a relaxed evening without any fuss. Maybe a little pricey, but I left feeling satisfied.

The meat cannelloni was spot on, hot and tasty. Service dragged a bit though, big group that night probably didn't help.

Decent spot for a relaxed dinner. Had the tapas and a steak – both were fresh and flavorful. Staff were attentive but not hovering, which I appreciated. Place had a nice, easygoing vibe. Only minor thing: it got a bit noisy later in the evening. Still, pretty good overall for a casual meal.

The almond-stuffed dates with bacon were the highlight—really tasty. Portion sizes felt a bit small for what you pay, though. Cozy spot, but book ahead on weekends.

Great spot for our group of eleven, waiter kept everything running smoothly. Always consistent when I come back.

Came here on a quiet Tuesday night, place was half full. Had the venison goulash, sauce was rich and the meat fell apart. Ragout Fin was decent too, not too heavy. Kaiserschmarrn for dessert, fluffy and not overly sweet. Digestif selection is solid if you're into that. Service was fine, nothing fancy. Prices fair for what you get.

Dropped by for dinner and honestly the pasta with paprika and shrimp was the highlight. Light, not drowning in sauce. Bruschetta was decent too. Tiramisu to finish, pretty solid. Place was a bit busy but we got a table fine. Nothing fancy, just good food. Would come back if I'm in the area.

Been coming here for years now. Sake's always spot on and the sushi stays consistent. My go-to spot in Düsseldorf, no question.

Landed hungry and grabbed a quick bite here before my flight. Chicken breast was actually juicy, not dry like most airport food. Service was fast enough that I didn't stress about boarding. Place was a bit busy but we found seats easily. Good spot if you're flying out and want something decent without the usual airport food gamble. 😊

The lunch menu has a decent range and honestly the portions are big enough to skip dinner after. I ordered the schnitzel and it filled me up completely. Staff checked in a few times which was nice. Only thing—when it gets busy the noise level jumps, so don't plan a quiet chat. But for the price, you get a lot.

Lovely terrace right by the river, cathedral view at sunset was gorgeous. Tiramisu really hit the spot.

Stopped by for a quick dinner and grabbed a few rolls. The spicy tuna one had a nice kick, sauce wasn't overpowering. Salad on the side was actually fresh, not the sad wilted stuff. Prices felt right for what you get. Would've liked a sake option that wasn't too sweet, but the beer list covered me fine.

We came in after walking around all day, no reservation, just hungry. The tablet menu in English was a lifesaver, honestly. Staff pointed us to the pierogi and the bigos, both were solid. Portions are decent for the price, we left full without feeling ripped off. Place gets busy around 7, so go a bit earlier if you can.

Came here on a Tuesday night, place was busy but not packed. The tapas menu changes often, so I just asked the waiter what was good that day. Had the octopus and the pork belly — both solid, well seasoned. Portions are small, so order a few plates. Wine list is decent too. Nice spot for a relaxed dinner with friends.
