The hamburger steak stew. The meat is soft, not dry at all. Lots of vegetables in the sauce, carrots and onions. It’s simmered for a long time, you can tell. The flavor goes deep. Good with rice.

The tonkotsu soup is rich and creamy, no porky smell at all. The thin noodles are great when ordered firm.

The omakase set was a fun surprise! Each skewer came out piping hot, fresh from the fryer. The batter was super light and crispy, and the dashi-based sauce had a nice depth to it. Really enjoyed trying a bit of everything.

Got the tonkatsu set right at opening. The pork cutlet was thick and juicy, the batter stayed crisp. The miso soup was a bit too salty for me, but the rice was perfect. That's what I come for.

Omi Champon was solid. Broth's a light golden dashi, not heavy at all. Lots of fresh, crunchy veggies. Felt healthy and satisfying.

Customized my ramen to be extra rich. The dandan noodles were spicy, just how I like it. Good spot for a quick, filling lunch.

The red bean soup with rice cake was so good here. The rice cake had a perfect, soft chew. Found it tucked away on a quiet slope. Just a very peaceful spot to sit for a while.

Been coming here for years, and the dark roast is always spot on. Never bitter, just a really nice aroma. I usually end up getting a second cup.

Nice place to stop after walking the Philosopher's Path. The okonomiyaki was fluffy, just how I like it. Staff were friendly and quick. A solid, simple meal.

Cute little spot run by a sweet old couple. It's tiny, so you might wait a bit, but it's perfect for a cozy catch-up with a friend.

The seafood donburi was fantastic, especially the fresh crab. The grilled seaweed on top paired really well with a crisp white wine.

Popped in for lunch after my appointment nearby. The hamburger set was quite filling, which was a nice surprise. The salad was crisp. I appreciated the comfortable booth seating, made it easy to relax for a bit.

The upstairs area is a nice surprise. We had a quiet table by the window, away from the street noise. Good spot to pause and relax. The space feels airy and not cramped at all.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. The grilled fish was the highlight—really flavorful and perfectly cooked. Sashimi was fresh too. Steamed veggies were a nice, simple side. Just what I needed.

Lunch after visiting the shrine. The place has that old inn feel, quiet and rustic. My soba was good, broth had a nice depth. A bit on the pricier side for lunch, but the calm atmosphere was just what I needed.

My friend told me to try the breakfast deal. It was good. I liked the space between tables, felt private. The bread basket had a nice variety, kept it coming. Service was attentive, they noticed my coffee was low.

Love the vibe here! The building is so cool - it used to be an old tram station from 1927. My favorite part was checking out all their handmade metal tea canisters on display. They really add to the European feel of the place.

Chain restaurant, so you know what you're getting. Quality is consistent. Good for groups, but it's always busy and loud. Portions are decent for the price, which is why I keep coming back.

Perfect for a quick, healthy lunch. The kudzu-ji rice set is solid. Thick, mild sauce, warm mochi. Gets you in and out fast.

Conveniently located near Uji Station, this restaurant offers a pleasant dining experience at reasonable prices.

Tucked away in a parking garage, which was a fun little hunt. The real star was the wine list—found a fantastic local red that paired beautifully with the grilled lamb.

Perfect for a quick lunch. Got the chicken teriyaki bowl, came out fast and hot. Staff was efficient, didn't have to wait around. Just what I needed on a tight break.

Convenient spot near work. Shared parking lot is huge, never had an issue finding a space. The vibe is the same as their other shops, which I like.
