it’s a really historic place..wonderful restaurant full of history and typical dishes

No. 1 of Must-Visit Restaurants in Bucharest

The place looks fancier than the price suggests, honestly. We had the grilled fish and it was cooked right, not dry. Portion size was decent for what you pay. Wine list is solid too. Only thing, it was pretty quiet for a Friday night, but I'm not complaining about that. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

The chocolate desserts looked almost too good to eat — really creative stuff. Nice little spot right by the Athenaeum. Just wish they had more seating.

Stopped by for a quick dinner and ended up staying longer than planned. The wine list is solid, and Vlad really knows how to take care of you without hovering. Felt upscale but not stiff, which is hard to pull off. Only downside—it’s a bit on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for.

Stopped by for a quick dinner. Pasta was solid, seafood tasted fresh. Service was the highlight—attentive without hovering. Interior has some character, not the usual generic setup. Price is slightly high for what you get, but acceptable for the quality. Would consider coming back if in the area.

Gabriela really made the difference here — she was so nice and actually seemed to care. We came in for a quick catch-up with friends and ended up staying way longer than planned. The service just made everything feel easy. Already thinking about when we can come back honestly.

The Romanian trout came out nicely charred, and the grilled veggie side was generous—not just a sad little garnish. Friendly service, prices fair for what you get. Only thing: smoking inside is allowed, so if that bothers you, maybe grab a table outside. I'd go back for the fish, just maybe not on a cold day.

Decent spot, cozy vibe but a bit tight on space. Service was quick, food pretty good. Menu’s big, so better ask for recommendations—some dishes hit, others don’t.

The papanași here are a bit different from the usual ones, but honestly tastier. The savory pies were good too. Cozy spot, though the tables are a little close together.

Stopped by for a late afternoon coffee and ended up staying longer than planned. The place has that relaxed French bistro vibe, not trying too hard. Coffee was solid, though I wished they had a better wine list to pair with the pastries. Service was attentive but not hovering. A bit pricey for what it is, but I'd come back.

Solid cocktails, that’s for sure. Food was tasty but portions are on the smaller side. Rooftop had a chill vibe, easy to hang around for a while.

The place is an old Romanian villa, nicely fixed up. Gives the whole meal a different feel. We had the fried parizer and eggplant salad—tasted like something from my childhood, in a good way. Portions were solid. They had a decent local wine list too, which paired well with the heavier dishes. Price felt fair for what you get.

The truffle pasta was properly rich, creamy without being heavy. My Negroni hit the right balance too. Service kept things moving without hovering. Solid spot for a relaxed dinner.

Nice terrace out back, feels like a little garden hidden from the street. Inside is cozy too, kinda vintage. Menu's got a good range, not just the usual stuff. I only had a coffee and a slice of cake, both were fine. Place was quiet when I stopped by, which I liked. Maybe a bit slow with the service, but I wasn't in a hurry.

Service was quick and the staff really helped me out when I couldn't remember the right word in Romanian. They just smiled and sorted it for me. I appreciated that, made the whole thing feel easy. The place was busy but I never felt rushed. Good spot if you want a simple meal without any hassle.

The fish was really good and our waiter checked on us just the right amount. Potatoes were a bit oily for me, but the quiet room made it easy to relax.

The live music was a nice touch — loud enough for atmosphere, but we could still talk. Food was solid, nothing crazy. Good spot if you're in the area.

Stopped by for dinner and honestly the slow-cooked pork neck was the highlight—so tender it fell apart with just a fork. Tiger prawns were decent too, decent size. Service was friendly, nothing over the top. Place got a bit noisy later but I didn't really mind. Would come back for that pork alone.

The soups here are always fresh, taste homemade, and they switch up the selection daily. The lady running the place is genuinely kind and welcoming. I sat near the window and the light was nice, though the chairs are a bit hard after a while. Still, a solid spot for a quiet lunch.

The coconut eclair was good, no lie. But honestly, for that price, I expected a bit more size. It's pretty, sure, but I left still a little hungry.

The baguettes were really good, still warm when we got them. Place gets super busy though, we barely found a spot to stand. Staff was nice about it. Prices are a bit much for what you get, but the bread quality makes up for it. Good spot if you're grabbing something quick with friends.

Viktor made the cocktails — he really knows what he's doing. Friendly guy, didn’t rush us, and the drinks came out well balanced. Not too sweet, not too strong. Just right. Place was a bit quiet for a Friday, but that worked fine. Would sit at the bar again.

The banana nutella pancakes were the highlight for me — so good. Coffee was solid too. Staff were friendly, and the terrace made it feel more relaxed.

Coffee's solid, and the place has a nice cozy feel. But don't come here expecting to get work done—no Wi-Fi, and there's basically one table where you could even open a laptop. Fine if you just need a quick takeaway and bounce. I'd grab a cup to go if you're in the area.
