Lovely vintage vibe here. The cafetiere coffee was good, but the trio of macaroons really stood out. The blue caramel one was spot on – not too sweet. Staff were friendly and looked sharp. Prices felt fair for what you get.

Been ordering from here for years. The quality's always consistent, which is hard to find. A solid local spot.

Head Chef George's knowledge of the ingredients really shows in the dishes.

Solid spot in Maldon. Food was good, service efficient. Staff were friendly without being overbearing.

The bubble and squeak was a proper, hearty portion and really hit the spot. Little details like the scissors for the sauce sachets were a nice touch. Just what you need on a cold day.

My partner has food allergies and hasn't had Indian in forever, but he loved his vegan curry. I had the Ruby biryani—spicy and flavourful, not too heavy. The saag paneer was a great match.

As someone who pays attention to drinks, I was impressed. They took my coeliac needs seriously, even the gluten-free bread was good. The staff knew the wine list well and suggested a nice pairing for my veggie main. Felt very looked after.

Lovely little tea room. The afternoon tea was generous - two rounds of sandwiches, a big scone, and a proper slice of cake. The tea selection was decent, though I would have loved a glass of something sparkling to go with it. No rush at all, which was nice.

Great local deli. The pies are fantastic, especially the steak and ale. Staff are always friendly.

The service from Rafael and Elona was really nice and attentive. The new spring menu is lovely, I enjoyed the corn and pork ribs.

The rice and potatoes were spot on, really lovely. I did find some of the meat dishes a bit on the dry side when they arrived, which was a shame. Still, the space itself is really nice to sit in.

The sourdough crust was the real star, light and chewy with a nice char. But honestly, for the price they charge, I was expecting a bit more pizza on my plate. The slices felt a little small.

Menu's short, just four starters, mains, and desserts. Went for the lamb shank – fell right off the bone. Simple place, but the food's solid.

The service at this restaurant is outstanding, with staff who are polite and attentive. The variety of dishes and the use of spices make every meal a delightful experience.

Came for a team dinner. The booking was easy, and the staff handled our large group well on the night. The waterfront view was a nice bonus, but honestly, the main draw for me was the portion sizes—really generous for the price point.

I had an amazing meal at The Kings Head, especially the chicken burger which was the highlight of my lunch. The food was well-presented and delicious, making it a must-visit.

The Red Lion offers a lovely atmosphere with great service, making it a perfect spot for lunch. The pub food is some of the best I've had in a while, and I highly recommend it!

the staff at the main reception was very friendly and helpful, the beautician I had was brilliant she answered all the questions I had to ask and also gave me advice on skin care products I can use at home to get the best results for my skin, the members of staff at the restaurant was friendly I asked for a vegan opinion for my afternoon tea and I was given that, the afternoon tea was great I would definitely revisit again.

The food was good but the choice was poor. The menu has been reduced and it's not an improvement. And this "Italian" no longer serves pana cotta as a desert option.

The vegan menu here is solid. Loads of options, which is a nice surprise. Had the jackfruit tacos - really hit the spot. Good to see a place putting thought into it.

The burger menu is huge, which is great. I went for the classic cheeseburger. The patty was cooked just right, juicy and not dry at all. The bun held up well too, didn't get soggy. Solid choice if you're just after a good burger.

The steak was cooked just right, and the portion was decent. Service was quick. A pretty good meal overall, though the sides were a bit basic.

Portions are massive here, way bigger than your average fast food spot. Couldn't finish my burger and had a full box to take home. The house red was a decent, robust pairing for it though.

Good to see this place feeling lively again. The new dart board is a fun addition, had a few casual games while waiting for the food. The fish and chips were solid, classic pub grub done right.

Been coming here for years, and the live music nights are what keep me coming back. Always a good vibe, feels like a proper local. The prosecco's spot on too.

Popped in for a coffee, but the smell of bacon got me. Ended up with their full breakfast. The eggs were perfectly runny, and the sourdough toast was spot on. Worth the 15-minute wait for sure.

The tropical mojito was the standout. Bartender's suggestion. Really fresh mint, not too sweet, and the rum came through nicely. Just the right balance. That's what I came for.

The staff here are just so lovely. They remembered my name from a previous visit, which was a really nice touch. Always smiling and happy to help, it just makes the whole experience feel that bit more welcoming.
