A clean, tidy spot with a proper local feel. The house red was a surprisingly good match for the fish and chips, really brought it together. A real find in Clacton.

The fish and chips were spot on today. Really light, crispy batter that didn't feel heavy at all. The haddock inside was perfectly moist and flaked apart nicely. You can tell it's all cooked fresh to order.

The ice cream selection here is brilliant! Perfect for a quick treat with friends after a stroll.

The 2-for-1 cocktail happy hour is a great deal. They have a massive menu, so you can try something new each time. I like grabbing a seat by the big windows in the evening.

The Robin Hood is a charming pub with a cozy atmosphere. The staff, especially Zac, were incredibly attentive and made our dining experience enjoyable. The food was delicious, and I can't wait to return!

The set menu for two is the way to go here. Portions are huge, you get a bit of everything. The lamb chops were the standout, really well seasoned and tender. Good for a filling meal without breaking the bank.

Decent food and drinks for the price. The safety screens are thorough, but can make it a bit hard to chat with the staff.

Popped in for a bite after the shops. That triple stack burger was spot on - juicy, good bacon, proper chips on the side. Staff were friendly, no rush. Decent spot for a straightforward lunch.

Family-friendly spot. Lots of seating inside and out. Saw the cleaner upstairs doing a proper job, place was spotless.

Service was on point tonight. Quick, friendly, and they just left us to enjoy our meal without hovering. Felt relaxed the whole time.

Mandy was so attentive and friendly, really made us feel welcome. The pizzas were good, especially the kids' ones. Decent price for what you get.

The fish is always fresh, no complaints there. The chips are spot on - soft and fluffy inside. It's a reliable spot, you know exactly what you're getting.

Service was a real standout. Max in particular was so friendly and genuinely enthusiastic. He made the whole visit feel really warm and welcoming.

Popped in for lunch a couple times. Menu's straightforward, but they nail the basics. Got the chicken sandwich last time - juicy, crispy bun, just hit the spot. Simple things done well.

Been here a few times, both busy and quiet. It's a solid Wetherspoons. The beer is good, food is fine. A big space, so you can usually find a quiet corner. The atmosphere is decent enough.

The chicken tikka masala is always spot on – tender and full of flavour. Portions are generous too.

The chicken and mushrooms in white wine sauce was the highlight. Really enjoyed it in the cosy, low-lit corner booth. Just a nice, relaxed spot for a meal.

The Sunday roast was spot on. Beef was so tender, and the cauliflower cheese was a winner. Their house red was a really nice match for it all.

Decent pub grub, and the drinks are fairly priced for the area. The house red was a nice surprise with the steak pie.

The Victoria sponge was lovely, really fresh and homemade. The music was a bit loud for my taste, but the staff were friendly and the coffee was good.

The crispy chili beef was seriously good. I can't remember the last time I had it this nice. The sauce had a proper kick and the beef was so crispy.

Decent pub food at fair prices. The curry was pretty good, a reliable choice for a quick dinner. Service was fine, though a bit slow when they got busy.

The curries are packed with flavour and came out piping hot for my takeaway. Really hit the spot.
