Been coming here for years and it never really changes - that&#39;s what I like about it. Barman still remembers my usual order. Pool table&#39;s still got that same wonky leg.

Booked a table for 14 with drinks and platters. Jo&atilde;o sorted everything out so easily. Honestly, the whole group was happy with how it went. Good spot if you&#39;re organising something bigger.

Stopped in for a pint and ended up staying longer than I planned. The walls are covered in old photos and local history, proper pub feel. Music was traditional, not too loud, just right in the background. Didn&#39;t eat this time but the food coming out of the kitchen looked decent. Place has real character, the kind you don&#39;t find as much anymore.

Food was tasty, nothing too fancy but well done. Only tiny thing was we waited a bit for the bill, but no rush on our end. Would happily go back.

The view over Cork at night is stunning, and the waiter really looked after us. Pricey, but worth it for a treat.

Stopped in for a pint on a quiet Tuesday and the bartender was dead sound. Didn&#39;t rush me at all, even when I was just staring at the wall. Prices are fair for Dublin too. The live music later was a nice touch, not too loud. Probably the most relaxed I&#39;ve been in a pub all month.

Stopped in on a whim and ended up chatting with the owner for a bit. He really looks after you if you&#39;re flying solo. Back room is small but proper cozy. Had the lamb stew, decent portion for the price. Nothing fancy, but you leave feeling looked after.

Came for a show at the Viking Theatre upstairs&mdash;small and intimate, really nice for that. Had a quick pint at the bar before, decent spot for it.

Rooms were spotless and the bed was so comfy. Staff really looked after us, even with the dog along. Shower pressure was a nice bonus too.

Service was friendly without hovering. The outdoor area is a bit of a hidden gem, quieter than the street suggests. Wouldn&#39;t mind going back to try more of the menu.

Walked in expecting a small pub, place is massive. Mussels were lovely, that sauce was the best part. Fish and chips did the job too. Staff grand.

Stopped in for a quick bite and grabbed the sausage roll with relish. Proper flaky pastry, really savoury filling. Coffee was decent as well. Place was busy but I got my order fast enough. Fine if you&#39;re in the area and need something easy.

The seafood chowder was proper&mdash;thick, creamy, loads of fresh fish in it. Had a pint outside looking over Ventry Bay. That&rsquo;s the whole reason to stop here.
