The breakfast was fantastic, but the portions were a bit small. Loved the quaint downtown vibe though!

Sam was on it all night. Refilled my water before I even noticed it was low, checked in just enough without hovering. That kind of attention makes a difference.

Came here on a rainy evening. The sushi selection was impressive. What really stood out was the freshness of the fish—you could really taste it. The tuna and salmon were particularly good. A solid, healthy choice for a cozy night in.

Huge portions here. Got the loaded fries and a pepperoni pizza. Couldn't finish it all, had a whole box of leftovers. Good bang for your buck.

Great spot for groups. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The atmosphere is relaxed, perfect for a long lunch with friends. Food came out quick, which was a plus. Could be a bit loud inside when it's full.

Always my go-to spot in Iowa City. The menu's huge, and they get your food out in like 5 minutes flat. Honestly, it's way better than you'd expect for something that fast.

Came here for a casual dinner downstairs. The burger was huge, honestly could have split it with someone. Fries were a generous portion too. Felt like a good deal for what you get.

Quick lunch spot. Falafel and chicken shawarma are solid. Gets packed with students around noon, so the line moves a bit slow. Still, got my order in under 10 minutes. Perfect for a fast bite between meetings.

The pasta is fresh, you can tell. Grace knew the menu inside out and suggested a dish I’d never have picked. It was spot on. A bit of a wait for the table, but the food itself came out quick.

They make the guac right at your table. So fresh. Best I've had, hands down. That's the whole show.

Been coming here for years after my appointments. Always grab their chocolate mousse to go. It’s just the right size, never too sweet. The consistency is spot-on every single time. That’s why I keep coming back.

Their happy hour double-pour wine is such a solid deal. I just sat at the bar, sipped on that, and watched the light change outside. It was exactly the kind of low-key, cozy vibe I needed.

Been coming here for years. Their jambalaya is the real deal, just like I remember it from down south. Gumbo's solid too. That's what keeps me coming back.

The space is really open and has that cool brewery vibe. It felt comfortable for our group, we weren't crowded at all. The loaded guac was good, but honestly, I just liked hanging out in that setting.

The food is really good. But don't come here if you're in a hurry. Service is on the slower side, so you need to plan for a longer lunch. Not ideal for a quick bite.

First time here, and it was packed. But our food came out surprisingly fast. I’ll be back for that.

Solid spot for a business lunch. Menu has good variety, and the staff is efficient. They handled a last-minute change to our order without any fuss. Prices are fair for the area. Would come back for another meeting.

The group room was perfect for our big lunch. It felt private but still had a nice, airy vibe. The mango sticky rice was a great way to end it.

Late lunch, the portobello sandwich was fantastic. The pulled pork green chili really hit the spot. The place was packed but the staff kept it together. My only note: the wine list is a bit short for a menu with such bold flavors.

Watching them make the pizza fresh right there is pretty neat. The dough looked good, and they loaded it up with toppings. For the price, you get a solid, filling meal. No skimping at all.

The mango habanero wings were a solid choice, really flavorful. I was happy to see a decent local IPA on tap, it paired nicely with the heat. The pub itself has a friendly, comfortable vibe.

Our waitress was the highlight. She was so friendly and took a moment for a real chat, not just the usual order-taking. It felt personal. That kind of attention is what makes you want to come back.

Bartenders Julia and Zach were great. Super friendly and quick service even with the college crowd.

Been coming here for years. The spice is legit, just like you’d get back home. Ask for extra hot and they actually make it hot, flavor’s still all there. That’s why I keep coming back.

Stopped on a road trip for the hot pot. The Szechuan flavors were spot on, and they had a nice selection of local beers that paired well with the spice.

Seafood medley was fresh, and the sushi hit the spot. Ice cream bar had a ton of options.

One of the few downtown spots open before 7am. Their coffee is solid, and the pastries are fresh. I just wish they had a bit more variety in their drink menu—maybe a rotating single-origin option. The vibe is good for a quiet morning.
